I have to tell ya that I agree. His forehead is huge! Also I must admit when I saw he was doing some ad for a magazine without a shirt on, I laughed my ass off. Im not one to usually judge a dudes appearance, but since I have a great dislike for mr.brady, I couldnt help but notice how un-buff he is. Also what's wrong with Brady yelling out his opinions at refs? At least he doesn't talk smack, throw temper tantrums, disrespect team mates (ex. Tomlinson snubbing Rivers), flick the finger at your own fans, or throw penalty flags into the stands. I love a quarter back with some fire in his belly.

I don't really get why everyone hates the pats. I mean they go out and play hard week in and week out and live by this "humble pie" thing that Belicheck is telling them. I personally think that the players in the NFL are payed to play their positions and they shouldn't just stop playing because they're creaming a team. Yes, it was a little too much of a blowout when they played us, but the skins are on the field to stop them, and we just didn't do our job out there.

I think we're cofusing personality with character, and the two aren't the same. Just because someone isn't likable or whatever, doesn't equate to bad character.

As someone pointed out, you rarely see the Pats doing all this dum shit after scoring or between plays. To me that speaks volumes about your character as a football player.

I just love this argument about how Brady is a douche. I've never seen him being disrespectuful, at least publicly, toward a teammate. LT, on the other, Mr. Class of the NFL, has had open spats with Philip Rivers more than once. When he does it, he's just fired up and being competitive. When Brady does it, he's a whiny bitch.

And as I said, if Brady was a Redskin, and he won 3 SB's for us, we'd all be on his jock.

What I find so funny is people that really know football, know that Brady is one of the hardest working guys on the pats. He's a true professional and studies his craft. You don't become as good as he is w/out putting in the time. Look how much better he is now then he was back in 01. It's like night and day. He can't help it the way he looks. Peyton Manning is the one who is on TV every 5 minutes, not Brady. I see Tomlinson and Bush on TV more than Brady. Brady could have way more endorsement deals than anybody if that is what he wanted. And the one TV ad I did see him in he wouldn't do the ad w/out his O-linemen. So IMO people need to chill on all the Brady hating.

Just like Matty said in another thread, it's all about the fact that basically he's NOT the Redskins and people get tired of seeing the same team every year.

If the Dolphins came back next year and won three Super Bowls, we'd all have the same hate for them as we do for the Pats.

You nailed it, Skinsfan69. You never see his face splashed over everything like these other characters. He just puts in work and answers questions - that's it. And by all accounts, he has the respect of his teammates.

When it comes down to it LT is a little baby who needs a milk bottle. If he's got a problem w/ Rivers then do it behind closed doors. He keeps showing him up on the sidelines. What a crybaby. Oh.. and he cried like a little bitch when the pats players were doing Merriman's little stupid dance after the playoff loss last year. He looked so stupid complaining about that crap. Merriman shouldn't do shit like that cause it always comes back to bite you in the ass. You don't see Vrabel or Seymour doing dances when they sack the QB.

I guess you haven't watched many Pats games before this season then. I haven't seen him do it as much this season, but a lot more people would call him out on it, considering he's got a stable full of great receivers. My main beef with Brady even before this season was that he admonished his receivers far too often.

And A. Smith ran his mouth to the media. I've never seen a flag thrown for talking smack on ESPN.

Did I say that I "like losing"? All I said was that I'll take character and a tough season over a douchebag with a winning season.

The whole question is a false dichotomy to begin with anyway. Tony Dungy is, by anyone's account, a standup guy, and he certainly doesn't have a problem winning.

The alternatives aren't "immoral, unethical douchebag who always wins" or "really nice, ethical guy with character who always loses." There are other options.

I don't think anyone is denying that Tom Brady is a great quarterback. The problem is, he knows he's a great quarterback and makes sure that everyone knows it.

Right after the game, when asked about the A. Smith encounter, he said Smith was a good player, and probably was just trying to get his team hyped for the game. Then I hear an interview that he did yesterday on the radio where he said they purposely targeted Smith, and he's a third stringer that's only playing because of injuries. And why make the comment about the 4th & 1 play in the Ravens game, after you WON the effing game? The only reason to make that comment is to rub salt in the wound. Good quarterback or not, he's still a dick.

And no you don't see him doing commercials every five minutes... he's just on TMZ and the Enquirer all the time.

I don't think I'm using them interchangeably. For instance, I think Bill Cowher's personality is pretty abrasive and he probably comes across as an asshole. However, I have no reason to doubt his character.

Character doesn't mean you're a nice guy who sits in fields of daisy's strumming a guitar and thinking about peace and love.

Bill B. lacks character AND he's got an asshole personality, so double whammy on him and that's probably why people tend to dislike him.
