I don't have links. I go by what I see on the local news here when the players are interviewed. Plus, I'm sure almost EVERYONE on this board knows that most of the players have endorsed GW.

I heard the same thing. Noone knows what's going on inside Redskins Park, but what we all can see EVERYONE wants Williams.

Thats my point what players? I have only heard of a few that have come out and supported GW. I'm not saying that they want another head coach I'm just stating that I have not heard of this larg number of players coming out and saying that they support him. I have read a bunch of post here where people say that all the players want GW but no one can give any links to who all these players are. I think its more of a rumor here that he has all these players supporting him. I do not find it hard to believe but I just have not seen it. Like I said they are at home and not at Redskin part so not hearing from them is pretty much a given.

Read any article from Redskins.com or any of LaCanfora's blogs on the Washington Post...every player interviewed, whether he was asked or not, supported GW...I'm not going to post all of their quotes...but its pretty clear they want him as coach

Like I said, I've seen it on TV on the local news and comcast sportsnet. I can't really get you any links obviously because it was on TV!!!

So far, I've heard: Rock Cartwright, Chris Cooley, Chris Samuels, Pierson Prioleau, Philip Daniels, London Fletcher, ARE, Mike Sellars...

I don't need links I believe what you are saying. The only reason I even ask is because I keep hearing people saying that the players back him but I personaly had only seen a couple. I was just curious if it was true or something that just keeps getting repeated on here like fact.

I've heard several flat out say they want Williams to be the next coach. Phillip Daniels all but said, if he isn't the organization is making a mistake. But yeah, it's more than a couple here and there.

At the very least, I've seen quotes supporting Williams from Sellers, ARE, Daniels, Jason Campbell, Fletcher. And I'm sure just about every other guy on D feels the same way.

Maybe the reason Danny Boy hasn't hired Gregg Williams yet is precisely because Danny Boy thinks that the Redskins are on the cusp of becoming a force in the NFC for the next few years - - and he keeps noticing that 40% winning record for Gregg Williams in Buffalo. Maybe that's why he keeps re-interviewing him; maybe he's looking for the same things in Williams that Gibbs saw when Gibbs anointed Williams as the "heir apparent".

Or maybe Williams hasn't been hired because Williams has made some demands that are beyond where Danny Boy wants to go? Time will tell. And more candidates will be interviewed...

By the way, please ignore any and all stories/statements about players endorsing coaches for the job. As long as there is even a ghost of a chance that Williams will be hired, it would be imprudent - to the point of career hara-kiri - for a player to say he thinks Gregg Williams is dumber than mincemeat even if that is exactly what the player thinks. These players aren't MENSA members, but they are smart enough not to piss off the guy who might be taking over the team for no good reason...

Ok how about naming Williams HC and bring in the "Ryan" who worked in Baltimore. Isn't Greggs defense basically the old Buddy Ryan system which I believe both sons are utilizing. Keep the Offensive side as is but put Saunders on notice that his offense better produce with who ever he decides to use a QB or he's out next year.

You know what's sad is we have one of the greatest minds on Offense and the offense is sputtering. We have one of the greatest minds on Defense and it finds a way to sputter in the 4th quarter. Why can't we have the high flying scoring of the SB Rams and the steel defense of the SB Chicago bears?....wait....we have that but the wrong years. Lets try the 2000 Rams and the 86 Bears.

That could be the case. Good points. Did you catch pre-game Gmen game that dude Jay Glazer announced Mora Jr. would have been given the job hands down had he not pulled out. Whether true or not its total rumor mill crap that pisses me off. I truely hope that's not true. Who cares now I guess moot point.
