Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
This would entirely change the complexion of the draft.
I dont even know where to start. We can get double up on a postion in either rounds of the 3rd and 7th. 2 wr's in the 3rd 2 Dlineman 2 Olineman 2 db's Its frickin Christmas!! |
Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
When do we know what extra picks we have?
|
Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
End of March.

Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
OK, I think we will be good by that point.
The real question is now, with our new projected picks, what do we do with the first and second round if we have TWO 3rd rounders? |
Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
same thing as before.
DE/CB (depending on whos there), DT (laws), S (zbikowski), DE/CB (whichever we missed), OT (zuttah), DE (hardie), WR/ST (monk), K (coutu), LB (??? depth) in the first it'd be DRC, harvey, merling, mcklevin, etc... hopefully one hit there. in the third you got guys like dingle and ellis at DE and guys like godfrey at CB (draftscout lists king in the 3rd too, which i agree with and consider a value, some boards have him in the 1st though, which makes no sense). |

I'm not criticizing cuz it can be an equally good strategy (esp in a draft with good deep talent like this one with no particular dazzlers). Im just wondering why wait so late for a WR. Why not try one early and one late for insurance (especially if we need someone on special teams). Also why no interior offensive linemen. That would seem to be a position of some need for us. With that #2 pick i wouldn't be opposed to going for one there, and pushing our need for a run stopping DT to a later round. Do u agree? |
Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
Let's choose wisely and build some (MUCH-NEEDED!) depth! Who knows? We may strike gold with one of those picks, unearthing a future hall-of-famer.

Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
This is the slowest offseason i can remember. The draft is still a month away. This is painful.
Not that i want us to make headlines, signings, etc...i just need some draft action/concrete football speculation soon. |
Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
Sweet! Two third rd. pics. I hope we pick up Jordy Nelson if we don't pick up Kelly,Hardy or Sweed of course.I know it would be a little early to take him but maybe Owen Schmidt? That would be sweet.

Re: Another Pick In The 3rd Round?
No actually I see this off-season going faster than the other seasons.
