oop! my friend's in nyc...could it be same girl?
the girl I dated lives in MD. Who knows? Does your friend know a girl named Tamela? |
lol, the guy is an NFL star, and lives in Miami. Ive been in miami for over four years now, and trust me, from what ive seen, I wouldnt limit a football player to one girl on any given night. I wouldnt doubt if all of us knew someone he has been with.
|
it sed on nfl live that ogunleye wants to stay in miami, and is considering going back to nigeria if a deal isnt worked out.
If ogun says he'd go back to Nigeria instead of playing in the NFL and making milllions then HE'S the one smoking the weed!!!!! Maybe Rickey was his connection? :cool-smil |

True, but you never know. It's a small world. |

bottom of the article, in the extras part, it mention Wale and says Gibbs is content with his RE position |
Is it just me or did AO have only 1 or 2 good years and has a history of injury problems??? Not to mention the fact that he was on a D-line with one of the best defenses in football. Let me spell it for you
O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D. Stand pat its too late in the season to add a player who has yet to practice in camp, so when he does come in he will probably get hurt anyway!! |
He's started all 16 games the last two years, I don't think injuries have been a problem with him, once he broke into the starting lineup he's been a rock.

Ogun is a a chill guy for an NFL star. reads alot. i'll ask my friend whassup.

Getting rid of Gardner would be a mistake what if coles toe doesnot heal?
anyway Ross is better than Bauman for sure and ralph brown is a clown. Walt Harris gave the colts d a bad name. bye bye Ade. I say give them Ramsey and a second round pick for A-O. |
Hail to the Redskins!!!???????
McCants has proven he is as valuable as Gardner??? What game you watching . You one of the guys that says Ramsey has proven he can play in the NFL with 4 wins. we want a good team not a novelty team. Gardner is Monk Coles is Clark and Thrash/McCants/Jacobs is Sanders. Mc Cants has dropped alot more balls than Gardner. What has Gardner done thats so bad? refused to give you an autograph. |
Gardner's dropped some clutchhhh passes. 3rd Down ones. ones that Lav would've caught. its not that he can't get open or won't go in the middle, he does, it's his hands. can't deny it.
|
We are fine for now. Williams will make it work. Plus, I read today that both Wynn and Upshaw are 100% healthy for the first time in two years, so who knows, one of them could actually step it up....especially with the offenses having to account for the threat of Lavar and Marcus blitzing.
Save the draft picks and make sure Vinny C and co. are scouting the top D-linemen coming out in next year's draft. |
I'm glad you not Joe Gibbs illdefined players need to atleast have a good year to declare they are good. Mc Cants catches bombs every pereseason but he is too slow he is good for the red zone period.
|
me? McCants? Joe Gibbs? come again?
|
joethiesmanfan, why do you hate ramsey and love gardner so much?
ramsey can start in the nfl and would be better than say... rex grossman or kyle boller, people say he's proven he can play in the NFL, because HE HAS... mccants didnt get the playing time gardner did last year, if he did i'd bet he could grab another 200 yards... gardner isn't exactly the burner that coles is. |
Despite rumors to the contrary, holdout defensive end Adewale Ogunleye of Miami, the leading sacker in the AFC in 2003, has not been a part of any trade discussions with the Browns. Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Ogunleye, suggested again to ESPN.com on Wednesday that the most likely scenario still has his client returning to Miami under a long-term contract.

thanks shane.

For a big guy Gardner has some speed. With the right work ethic he could possibly be our #1. I know, string me from the tree now!

LOL!!!! We don't have to. You just did it to yourself... J/K!! |
IMO the situation with Gardner is win/win. Either he will be pushed to step up his game by McCants/Thrash (I'd also include Jacobs if he could stay healthy), or one of them will prove worthy and take his job. Either way, we win by having a high quality #2 WR to compliment Coles. And if, God forbid, Coles goes down with an injury, they will still be alright, especially if TJ gets healthy and continues to impress like he was doing in mini-camp and the beginning of training camp.
Daseal: Gardner was a decent #1 two years ago with over 1000 yds. He's not your proto-typical #1, but he does have the potential to get it done....if he can catch the freakin' ball more than half the time!!! ;) I'm still pulling for my boy McCants though.... :headbange |
You made a very good point, Rock. But there is also a downside with it. If he loses his job to McCants and Thrash and goes to #4 (and I believe that will ultimately happen), then he will certainly lose significant trade value.
|
Betts and a 1st round pick for Ogluneye would be a mutually beneficial trade, me thinks.
|
That would be GREAT for the redskins, but no chance Miami goes for it. It will take a higher rated player than Betts to pry him away. Add Gardner and it could happen. I've been pulling for that ever since the Wale news first hit. But as a couple others have pointed out, that may now be a risky deal for us. With Coles' toe and Jacobs' ALWAYS injured, it could be too costly. I'd still like to see them go for it - I have much less respect for RG's skills than most others here, and would like to see us get some value from him while we can. We stuck it out with Westbrook WAY too long.
|
mutually beneficial to who? i'm thinking betts would rather sit in miami getting splinters in the winter... maybe the dolphins need someone to warm ricky's favorite spot until he gets through betty ford...
|
I think Betts & Gardner and no first rounder... depending how signing Ogun goes. If Miami said no... I'd walk away from the deal.
|
Well, if that's the offer, there will be uproarious laughter at their back as they walk away. They could get a dozen times better deal with CLE or elsewhere. This guy can have a huge impact on a defense.
|
Betts and Gardner, even the Madden computer would laugh at that one
|
I know he's worth more than that... but the value isn't there for the coin he's asking. If he were asking for a reasonable contract I'd consider adding a first rounder.
By the way... Cleveland turned down sending Andre Davis to Miami... How much better is Andre than Gardner? Really?
Betts and Gardner, even the Madden computer would laugh at that one
|
i still think its late, he's still a bit of a question (definately good, but having two super awesome D-linemen is a lot different than having one guy not as used to being double teamed), gardner is still an insurance policy for us, and betts is still completely worthless to any team we may try to pawn him off on ;).
|
Just because there is a top pass rusher going against the LT does not make the RT chopped liver. I don't recall the guy on the other side of Reggie White's line getting more sacks than him, or the Buffalo left DE getting more sacks than Bruce Smith. (Or even anything close). Let them double-team him. Arrington and Washington will have a party dancing with the QB.
