Re: Around the NFL week 2
This Cowboys/Eagles game is great so far. Go Eagles!
The NFC East is so damn tough, just look at the way all 4 teams are playing right now. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
I have watched a few snippets of the Igs v Cowboys game tonight and I found myself pulling for the Igs. I guess that means no matter who they play I CANNOT pull for the Cowpukes.
Romo while great at times tries too hard at other times and ends up blowing up! |

Wow, what a game! An absolute shootout!

Wow, what a bonehead move by DaSean Jackson there

What an idiot move... |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
What a game this is. Unreal. And it's giving our coaches a lot of film to look at on how to score points on BOTH of these defenses.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Jaworksi is such an Eagles homer. I think he came when he was talking about McNabb earlier after he broke that tackle.
Oh man did Jackson just toss that ball before he scored??!!
That might have secured the win for me in my fantasy league. My opponent has Desean Jackson on his team and lost 6 points on the "no TD" and 2 points on the fumble for an 8 point swing. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Is anyone else hearing Jaworski? I love the guy for his analysis- he's way better than Theisman for that- but man is he slurping the Eagles. Holy cow.
He's really feeling his roots in this rivalry and he can't contain himself. He's taking little shots at the Cowboys left and right. Plus he's like, shit, if McNabb is gonna break all my records on national TV, I better slurp him big time. Granted McNabb is playing great, but come on dude. |

RJ: (in his tv voice) I spent some time reviewing the pasta bar and I came back with three takeaways. Green peas have no place there, I love the use of rigatoni, and the marinara sauce is outstanding! Notice how the chef uses just the right amount of tomatoes. And for dessert, the peach cobbler...was perfect! Smoot: Um, ok. So can the Redskins pull it off this weekend? Jaws: Blah, blah, game film, blah, blah, execution, blah, blah pass protection, blah blah time of possession Smoot: Dude, simple yes or no. My gyro's getting cold here |

If the eagles had lost possession I would have ranked that up with the worst blunders of all time. |

Yeah, but he doesn't know me Seriously though, we're not buddies or anything like that. I see him around, chat with him occasionally, sometimes am on conference calls with him. But nothing too exciting. |

Re: Around the NFL week 2
I just saw the final score of the Dallas/Philly game. Are their offenses that good or their defenses that bad? That's an awful lot of points for both teams to put up.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Wow, what a game. The Eagles are back. Man, our division is gonna be tough as hell that's for sure. Hope Zorn takes the cuffs off from our offense so we can compete.

The Eagles lost, how can you say that they are back? Their D gave up 41 points, meanwhile the Dallas D gave up 37 points at home. I wonder if this game exposed anything that we can use to our advantage. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
McNabb is definitely back. He looked pretty damned impressive despite missing his top two receivers. The Giants, Cowboys and Eagles are all great teams. I don't think there's a better division in the league.

Keep things in perspective, they lost a close away game in a hostile environment. They torched the Cowboys D and played great offense. Can we stop them? Can we keep up with them? Right now, I would say no. Make no mistake, the Eagles are in the hunt for the division. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Guys that was a crazy game it had everything man really exiting 7 changes of score it felt like the last team with the ball was going to win it.... Our Division it's crazy 4 or the top 5 teams in the NFC are in our division without a doubt what a weekend I haven't seen so many exiting games in 1 week since ever WOW a finish.

Re: Around the NFL week 2
NFC EAST is 6-2 with the only losses from within the division. Ha, lets see who can stay healthy, whomever it is we'll send three to the playoffs again.
Lots of penalties and sloppy mistakes in this game tonight though . . . |

Friggin Cincinatti is who the G-Men play next. Talk about a "cake" schedule for the first half of the season. They open up the season at home, then they get to play the crappy Rams (0-2), the struggling Bengals (0-2), the beleagured Browns (0-2), the stumbling Seahawks (0-2) and the lousy 49ers (1-1). Not to mention that 6 of thier first 10 games are home games. Thier next "true test" won't come until Oct 26th when they play Pittsburgh on the road. |

all I have to say about Romo is that I think he still has some grease on his hands from helping that old lady change her tire!! .. ha ha ha.. :)

McNabb looked excited about football again! He gave everything he had last night, which was considerable. Maybe just healthy. That should keep the Philly fans off his ass for .........6 more days. While I CONTINUE to HATE the Eagles (as per my lifetime FANATIC contract with my beloved Redskins), it was good to see. It makes the East a better product. |

Did you see the protection he's getting? If that keeps up he should have no problem staying healthy. |
Re: Around the NFL week 2
Highlights:
Dallas fans think they're in Philly and boo the National Anthem singer. Tony Romo fumbles TWICE in one play and gave the Eagles a TD. DeSean Jackson did it AGAIN! (and screwed many fantasy teams) YouTube - DeSean Jackson infamous fumble at high-school all-star game |

Re: Around the NFL week 2
I'd worked late and missed the game on TV, but heard it on the radio...what great game, wished I could had seen it...It will be even more meaningful when they meet again in Philly,
but for now Eagle fans can't get that taste of losing a close one out of their mouths...sucks to be an Eagle fan today. [B] A Big EAGLE's BLAME GAME...on fan sites today....nothing new.
