Hell yeah! Playaction to Moss I like it. We gotta finish strong to have something to build on and good feelings about Zorn coming in next season.

There's the play action. Nice throw and catch.

Was that actually a first down? WOW!

Aaaaand we follow up a nice play with a penalty. Typical.

Nice run Jason! He needs to work on his sliding.

GTripp0012 12-28-2008 04:45 PM

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

You can tell that Campbell is understanding the offense when he knows when to use his legs to get first downs.

Answer: often. Because no one is open, ever.

I'd like to see Cooley or one of the rookies get a TD here...

GTripp0012 12-28-2008 04:47 PM

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

I'd like to see us run the ball effectively in the red zone for a change.

I would not like to see us run ineffectively on both first and second down. Because that is no change.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

I wonder if JC needs to get out of the pocket more often...or step back a bit further...I fee like he's always just stuck in the pocket. He can never get a dump pass behind the opponents d-line b/c he's not very far away from the line of scrimmage and there is no "gap" in the defensive coverage, so he always throws to the sides (which is usually a yard or two in gain...if any at all). And since he is still in the pocket, he can't scramble.

Very nice, I really hope we win. I think that first drive by the 49ers was just a fluke.

UHH! There it is. my Fantasy season stay afloat. A Cooley/JC Combo woulda been nice too tho..

Like to see Santana get to 1000, Cooley to 80 rec. and 800 yrds and Portis to 1500 with 10 tds.

Doesn't the WC offense depend on three-step drops? I think that's where the issues lies. but the problem is that our WRs can't get open.

That's one component of the WCO, but it's one that you can totally eliminate from the playbook without altering the philosophy.

Our receivers never give Campbell a target on those plays, and Campbell's not exactly the most accurate guy in that range anyway.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

Nice run by Portis. How does a guy who has been in the league as long as Jansen get penalized so much? Adams of Dallas has had that problem this year too.

GTripp0012 12-28-2008 04:56 PM

Hey, that guy!

He almost dropped it, but his legs got in the way.

Good pick by D-Hall...wait...is that....Carlos Rogers???!!!

Rogers! Him & D-Hall paired up next year is definetly gonna still be a positive.

GTripp0012 12-28-2008 04:57 PM

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

Ugly underthrow. He had Moss open, but right in the shadows.

That kind of play, even though there was no INT, is the difference between a high scoring team and a low scoring one. Not fundamental playcalling (meks...)

****ing sickening, If I played D for the Redskins I would demand a trade this is ****ing unforgivable!

Ruhskins 12-28-2008 04:59 PM

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

Sheesh, a wasted pick. Rogers should have run that one back. I swear, if I was a defense starter for the Redskins, I would demand a steak dinner everytime the offense screws up the game.

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread

we can never seem to put it ALL TOGETHER back to back. i dont remember the last time we had back to back scoring drives..

GTripp0012 12-28-2008 05:01 PM

Re: Redskins vs. 49ers game thread
Jason cost us on that one.
Yep. But that's the kind of play that is a 20 yard completion in the "back" zone (our own 20-40) because Moss has more room to run it in behind the under coverage. That's been our achilles heel all year. Less margin for error equals failure for our offense.

Wow Suis actually kicked into the endzone, Can't wait to see him go.
