I think we need to go after Sproils. He's exactly what our offense needs. Someone explosive coming out of the back field. We may want to start a thread on this!
I'd take Norv or Zorn. Norv may not be HC material but he knows NFL offense. As long as you have a strong veteran team and a good defensive coordinator Norv isn't a bad HC.
He isn't a good one either. San Diego made the playoffs with the same record we had and a very talented team.
Norv is a FANTASTIC OC. They just need to stop trying to turn him into a head coach. :)
IMO saying Norv is not a good HC is not accurate. People forget Norv is the last Redskins coach to take us (Redskins) to the second round of the playoffs in the last 15 YEARS.
Not Spurruer, not Gibbs, not Schottenhiemer...Norv Turner did it.

NOrv also was HC in the black hole Oakland Raiders for only two seasons, where nobody wins. Not even so called awesome Shanahan couldn't win there.
So it needs to be put into perspective.

They made it ot the playoffs and beat Indy 11-5 team.
Are you going to take that away from them?

They didn't just beat a weak sister. They beat a SB contender.
Peytom Manning MVP of the league. Dwight Freeny highest paid DE in the league.

No. Like I said, they're a very talented team. Marty took them to 14-2 a couple of years ago and Wade took the Cowgirls to the playoffs last year. Very talented teams.

Yeah and they got beat in the 1st round of the playoffs. They are at home. Norv is preparing for next week.
Norv also did it without their two best players LT and #56 LB.

Someone is forgetting the 2005 season.

Norv was pretty much a joke when he was here, at least for the three years I was around him. Maybe he's grown some cojones since joining the Chargers

I would like to see how many different players are there under Norv than when Marty Built that team. But none the less, having Philip, LT, Antonio Gates, and i'm sure several others, that's pretty easy to go into and have at least some success.

I did forget about 2005. They beat Seahawks 20-10 in 1st round.

The Redskins under Norv were not as much of a joke as they were under Spurrier.

I would not mind Snyder opening the check book for him.

No kidding. I don't watch that many Ravens games, but every time I do he returns a turnover for a TD. Unbelievable. Makes me even more irate that our DBs can't catch. Reed shows that TOs = POINTS!

Yeah but they were real beat up with injuries. I'm not saying Norv is a great or even a good HC. But let's give the guy some credit. He knows how to run an NFL offense and has helped Rivers become on of the best QB's in the NFL. Hell he even got Alex Smith to play decent.

The AFC side looks tough. Titans, Steelers, Ravens and Chargers.
It looks deeper than the NFC.
Well at least the AFC teams have the attributes that win in the playoffs:
Good running game, good offensive lines, and most important Great Defense.

He gets his RBs involved as well, especially in the passing game, and he doesn't need great WRs to put up a ton of points.

Sproles is Superfly TNT.

Like I said, I think he's a fantastic OC. Ed Reed is probably the most valuable defensive player in the league in my opinion. If we could get more pressure on the QB and allow Rogers to use stick-em like Lester Hayes used to do, we could probably get more turnovers. :)

Great catch by Ronnie Brown then the PAT is blocked. Not looking good for the Phins today.

Besides Lawrence Taylor, Ed Reed is the most dominant defensive player to put on the pads. He's a shoe-in first ballot.

well unfortunatly for us he spent 2 years on IR so we let him go. I think he went to the Raiders first. Not sure about that. Then Philly signed him to a 5 year 18 mill deal. Now he's healthy and playing very well. What else is new right? Now we hope to find someone like him again. You could only shake your head.

By the way, I hate the Cowboys!

Spoken like a true Redskin Fan! When did we have Clemmons? Anyway, 2 years on IR is pretty long.

53, I think we signed him in 03. He played preaty well. Then got hurt in 05 and again in 06. He wasn't on IR for all of 2 years but on and off.
and then back on for most of his last season with us.

Definatly a Redskin Fan. For 35 years now.

Nobody would be crazy enough to fake being a Skins fan and there is no band wagon in sight :)

My Brother is a Eagles fan so I'm helping him out.
