Since we beat both NFC Championship teams does that mean

A. It's a good sign meaning we're right there with the best in the conference?

B. It's a bad sign meaning we may have as much talent to play with those teams but for some reason we're still not good enough to consistently compete?

C. It's a sign of danger because the front office will think that we're this close to being a Super Bowl team.

What do you think?
It means the Bengals think they're going to the playoffs next year, because they tied and Eagles and beat the team that swept the Eagles AND Cardinals;)

The Eagles and Cardinals lost to everybody. It goes to show that missing the playoffs because of losses to the Rams, Bengals and 49ers is inexcusable. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Just gotta get in!

0-2 against AFC championship teams

In fact, 7-5 against NFC overall and 1-3 against AFC overall.
Maybe we could petition the NFL for no games against AFC?
But the Giants swept you ?Untill someone else wins it the Giants are still the NFC Champions.

It's bad. I still remember Snyder on tv screaming in the bowels of the Linc about beating Dallas,Philly! Yeah! on the road. He's an idiot.

Good point on the Bengals 44Deez. We sweept the Eagles because Westbrook wasn't 100% the 2nd game. McNabb was also his twin brother.

I'd like to add we had the potential to beat any team in the NFL the first half of the season including the Giants which we played well. Unfortunatly we had them first game of the season coming of there SB.

Bottom line, the teams that come on late in the season win in the playoffs. We did it backwards as usual. No way could we compete in the playoffs at this point. But we do have the potential.

I wouldn't even say you were outplayed. It seems like this past few weeks that the Eagles have caught teams on their worst games of the season. I swear the Cardinals better freaking take it to them.

Sorry, but why is he an idiot??? I think it is really fair to say that EVERY Skins fan was screaming and cheering about the team after that game. and how does that even correlate to the thread's question?

I think at that moment the entire fan base was out of their minds with pure excitement, but of course now Snyder is an idiot in hindsight for being jacked up.

Welcome to the board, we've been running low on irrelevant, moronic posts these past few days. Maybe you could fill that void.

Malcolm. It's obvious you hate the Eagles as most Skins fans do or should but I have to agree with Giantone. The Giants were out played. You can't take it away from the Eagles. There Defence has stepped up. Asanti Samuels. Dawkins and the rest have brought this team back and forced other teams to play their worst football IMO.

I think if any team caught teams on a bad day, it was the Giants. Not taking it away from them as they are a great team. But, not as good as the Eagles.
And certainly not as good as last years NE team.
Sorry to add fuel to the fire. But that's the way I see it

But then again I've been called a closet Eagles fan. (Complements of Giantone) Not true of course.

That has about as much meaning as the Pats bragging that they went 18 and 1 last year.

GIANTONE is usually pretty cool, but that was funny. I got no problems with him. I say let him cry, we are all watching the rest of the playoffs from the couch. It's like having you very own pin cushion within a keyboards reach.

I think it shows how matchups are so important now (maybe more than ever). For whatever reason our D shut down the Eagles when nobody else was able to after Donovan's benching but Shaun Hill found open receivers. Are the Skins wildly inconsistent or just match up better against some teams than others?

As for the NFC champs, you are right, and that will be next week. Pats are still the AFC Champs. Neither team is repeating.

The Redskins are 3-0 against the teams in the NFC Championship Game.

Let me ask a slightly different question:

A. Is it better to be 3-0 against the teams in the NFC Championship Game?
OR
B. Is it better to be in the NFC Championship Game?

I prefer B.

It's dangerous because if Philly wins the Superbowl I'm going to stab myself in the face with a screwdriver.

Nobody forget how those people acted last year when ST died. They've never had class, they don't have class now, and when I'm 80 years old they're still going to be peeing in the gastanks of rival fans.

I don't want anything good to happen to them ever, especially not this year.

C'mon Matty, you know that only two teams in NFL History ever backed into the playoffs. The 2005 Washington Redskins and the 2007 Washington Redskins. ;)

I suppose Arizona's been backing into entire seasons for the last 50 years or so, so I'm sure their fans are thrilled right now.

I think Philly fans know what's what, though god help us if they happen to stumble on two major championships in 6 months.

At least Temple lost to Buffalo this year.

Well, when you only make the playoffs because Oakland beats Tampa Bay that can be called lucky. Props to them for winning two games convincingly but they were definitely lucky to get in.

Thats the nature of the "wild"card. It has nothing to do with luck. They were not in full control of their destiny but, they still had to win to get in. If they were lucky they would not be in the Championship game. I suppose Cards were lucky also. Maybe most of the teams are lucky NE didnt get in. That's just NFL

I don't know about "wild" but definatly belong in the playoffs. Your argument of a lucky team can also be argued as a what if. Like what if the Redskins didn't sweep the eagles. It can be argued that the Skins where lucky to beat them the 2nd time. If the Eagles had beaten them or not tied the Bengals Then the Eagles would not have needed "luck" to get in. Not only that but they finished the season 11-6-1 only 4 teams in the NFC have a better record. Just saying...
