How bout ARE for Boldin Hypothetically speaking of course, think about it though ..Wisenhut won a supebowl using ARE in all kind of ways, and we take Boldin off there hands and he lines up opposite Santana... |

Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
Eknox:
Either your suggestion of Randle-El for Boldin is a joke or you must have been the guy who took a hit just before Michael Phelps stepped up to the bong. Boldin is a top-shelf wide receiver. Randle-El is paid as if he were a top-shelf wide receiver. The similarity ends there... |

Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
I'm tempted to start a poll.
"Most Hilarious Warpath Trade Proposal" A) Antwaan Randle El for Anquan Boldin B) Jason Campbell for Chris Simms |

Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
Maybe if we say pretty please, we can get Fitz for El

Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
Antwaan Randle El, do you think he wishs he was back with the Steelers now?

I know they drafted & picked up some wr's because he & your sharp shootin boy Plax left them, but based on their current roster I don't know that ARE would be on the team. If so, he'd be #4 at best and only ahead of Sweed, a rookie. |
Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
it would be interesting to see him and moss together, I think he would make moss look better because moss won't be staring down double coverage every play
Great receivers are supposed to beat double coverage (ie: Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Smith, Calvin Johnson, Reggie Wayne, etc.) cause teams always double the best receivers. This is a poor excuse for Moss. I like his playmaking ability, but, he is a #2 receiver in this league. We need Thomas or Kelly to step up and be the go to guy this season. But spending mone on Boldin, or Housh for that matter, without shoring up the trenches would be stupid! The Pats won 3 superbowls with marginal receivers cause they had a great defense and a competent QB. The Ravens won with Dilfer and Q Ishmail as their guy cause they had great defense and strong o-line. Get the point? |

At the same time I realize he is no Fitzgerald. I have seen Moss burn the coverage with no delivery. I think as our O comes to life so will/would Moss if he is here whenand if that happens. |

Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
Look you all fail to see the problem. So go ahead and bring in Bolden. Who cares. He will be mediocre here. Look who's coaching him. Yes, like Moss and ARE he will have some talent but he will only be a shadow of himself as long as we have Hixon.
No fan of Hixon myself but I'm not sure he can make receivers any worse... he just has the uncanny ability to make damn sure they never get better under his tutelage :banghead: |

Boldin wants to leave Cards ProFootballTalk.com - BOLDIN SAYS RELATIONSHIP WITH CARDINALS CAN’T BE REPAIRED
And let the record state, if the Redskins wanted Boldin they should have selected him in the 2nd round of the 2003 draft before Taylor Jacobs. That move still irks me just because everyone knows that recievers from Florida suck on the regular. ...Jacobs didn't prove otherwise. |

He's good, but i have to wonder how much of his performance has to do with playing alongside Fitzgerald with Kurt warner throwing to him behind a now rock solid offensive line. He's in the "perfect" situation for a #2 WR if there ever was one. I think if he goes somewhere else without a solid surrounding cast, he'll just be another #2 WR and put up santana moss-ish numbers. |

Were there any good personnel moves during his tenure? |
Re: Rumor: Giants Looking At Boldin To Replace Plax
It still remains to be seen if Boldin is just the Lance Briggs of 2007 who was adamant about never playing for the Bears again, or the Chad Ocho Cinco of 2008 who was adamant about never playing for the Bengals again.
I wonder if they are happier now with their new teams....oh, wait |

His rookie season, when he had neither Fitz or Kurt Warner, he had 101 catches for 1377 yds, so I'd say he's the real deal. |
