Both Outkast albums are classics... I know it's unpopular to say around music circles nowadays, but I think their newer stuff is garbage. I just don't feel it.
I agree...I think the first 3 were money, and I really like the Idlewild soundtrack, but I hated Stankonia and Speakerboxx/The Love Below |

Re: What was the first album you ever bought?
Wait, you stole one??
Damn you. Give it back now!! |
Re: What was the first album you ever bought?
The first album I spent money on was Allen Sherman's - Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah. I had lots of 45's but I don't remember buying them ... they must have been gifts or hand-me-downs. I remember Big Bad John by Jimmy Dean especially.

Re: What was the first album you ever bought?
first album ever listened to was zepplin II, was in 5th grade and stole it from my older brother, listened to it for about 5 days straight, first time i actualy listened to music. this led to listening to pink floyd the wall for about a month straight, still know every word note and sound by heart.
first album ever bought was G n R appetite for destruction. (ok this is a lie, my brother got the G n R, i got this freakin piss poor bon jovi album, it sucked im embarrased.) |
Re: What was the first album you ever bought?
I had a paper route and was saving up for a record player like the one my older brother had. This was 1989, so when I was ready to buy a record player, I noticed that record stores weren't carrying that many records. I bought a boom-box with a CD player instead. At that time, I already had a bunch of cassettes like Straight Outta Compton, Eazy-Duz It, It takes a Nation of Millions..., Appetite for Destruction, Kill'em All and Ride the Lightining, but I'm not sure what I bought first. When I got that CD player, I went to Kemp Mill Records and bought my first two CDs:
Living Colour-Vivid Motorhead - No Sleep At All |
Re: What was the first album you ever bought?
Smashing Pumpkins - Mellencollie and the Infinite Sadness
