He would bring a new dimension of trash talking to the PBA |
I think Smoot lasts one more year. I don't think Rock or Renaldo getting cut would necessarily be a surprise. And Thrash is, of course, gone already.
I'll say Suisham...and Randy Thomas (just to keep this exciting)
SmootSmack, not tryin to jinx you buddy but what happens to the name if Smoot is released? :) |

I'll say Suisham...and Randy Thomas (just to keep this exciting)
Well if we're going to keep it exciting.... JC gets cut and Colt leads us to an unprecedented 4 SB wins in a row. Washington goes nuts and in his euphoria Dan Snyder gives the team to members of the Warpath with the stipulation that Irish is in charge of all personell decisions. Irish immediately tears the team apart and brings Jay Cutler out of retirement to lead the team to it's first losing season in years. How's that for excitement? :) |

Why would Jay Cutler be retired in 5 seasons? |

He gets his feelings hurt and quits when the Bears figure out they gave up too much for him. |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
If were looking at a running back to go... as much as I love the guy, I'd rather see Betts go than Cartwright. Betts and Portis are way to similar in my opinoin. Not saying thats what would happen, but Rock has been huge on specials for too long now.
|
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
Smoot is the cut; he needs to go, he has lost more than a step.. Coaches, especially Jerry Gray, are impressed with Tryon during the off-season.. Barnes looks good so far too.. If they feel good about those 2 CBs, they might feel safe to cut Smoot..
SmootSmack, not tryin to jinx you buddy but what happens to the name if Smoot is released? :)
Well, of course I changed my name the last time when he went to Minnesota. This time though, I'd probably just keep it. As for Tryon, I guess I would just caution that a lot of what is being said about him now is very similar to what was said this time last year about Leigh Torrence |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
I believe we could see some surprises once teams start to trim their rosters. Teams like the pats for instance who are loaded at many positions will have to lose some talented players. So an upgrade to to an area like the OL could still be addressed.

Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
Mike Sellers
He's barely getting paid so it makes no sense to cut him and he contributes on special teams. The only thing would be if he got really upset about his contract and sat out, but he doesn't seem like that type of guy. I don't want him to get cut and I don't expect it either, but I would also love to see Fred Davis at the FB position. Everyone talks about how good he blocks and his size may not be prototypical for a FB, but I don't think that matters. |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
If people think Fred Smoot will lose his job because Tryon(it's a miracle he made the team last year) or a rookie third round pick(I don't care how good he might be one day) takes his spot all I gotta say is what you been smoking...... and can I get just one drag pretty please?
|
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
Todd Yoder........This cut will make room on the roster for an adittional running back
In the NFC East youve gotta have 2-3 good backs
I would agree to YODER does not have a secure positon on the roster with Cooley and Davis. Can he be a back up Full Back? if not he is taking up a spot. |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
I say Lorenzo Alexander and Reynaldo Wynn[/QUOTE Not Lorenzo because he plays multiple positions. Buzbee before Wynn.

Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
Redskins fans why would anyone want to see Rock get released. Rock is a great locker room presents and can get it done on the special teams. He is the closest thing to the former great Return man Brian Mitchell. He plays the game with enthusiasm and grit. Rock was a 6th round pick and he still plays with a chip on his shoulder. He is a true Redskin that can let these new players know about the rivalry of the NFC East. He cant get released he is to important to our team in many ways.

Hey Rocks a great guy, but if we can get a guy to return kicks, and really show up as a change of pace 2nd RB (ala) Darren Sproles...Id say BYE BYE Rock |

Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
IMHO Collins is the surprise cut, with Pineapple Jesus winning the 2nd spot. It would be surprising for me to see "his grace" beat out Collins.

Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
if davis is the beast we all hope he is, yoder is done.

Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
In a shocking scenario Jason Campbell. I'm going big and bold. Not that I want to see it happen, but if it were to pan out that would be one hell of a prediction.

I'll add to that prediction; Minnesota picks him up, wins the SB and this board has everyone screaming what a stupid FO we have. |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
I can only see it happening in a early, season-ending injury, type of scenario. In other words if his season were to end before he got a chance to prove himself (before week 6), I can see the FO moving on without him instead of placing him on IR.

LOL - Preseason week 3, JZ sends CP in on the 3rd possession, and CP refuses to go in, JZ and him brawl at the 50 yd line, both are let go for sake of cohesiveness, Cowher comes in and takes us to the SB over Pittsburgh. Dream a better dream. LOL |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
London Fletcher...but only because Chris Samuels will be banned for PEDs

LOL, not really, I want to see him sit one more season. I would rather see Collins starting in that situation. I truly believe in the 3 year rule when it comes to the WCO. Riding the pine didn't hurt Steve Young any. |
Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
But that wouldn't be a surprise.
well actually it would be considering Davis had less receptions, yards, touchdowns, and games played than Yoder last season. |

Re: Predict this year's surprise cut
Todd Collins. Colt should justify giving him the #2 spot in the preseason.

Based on his injury prone past, his cap hit, and a resurgent M. Williams, Chris Samuels is shown the door. |

Apparently, although I was joking, last year's 2-6 finish left a bad taste in managment's mouth --
