Suggs plays in a 3-4 and we run a 4-3 so it's different. Suggs is more like a defensive end, he's a rush OLB, and he probably rushes the QB half the time, while 4-3 LBs blitz a lot less.

I was under the impression that it mattered as far as pay goes. terrell Suggs was on NFL network last year complaining about he wanted to be paid as a DE not LB.

The question of LB or DE doesn't matter so much for a rookie contract. In Suggs case, he was franchised, so his pay was dictated by the top 5 at his position. Then position mattered.

LOVE this deal. avg $4M/year for a top 15 pick, can't complain.
