Does anyone know where Tebow is going to actually end up in terms of the draft? I keep on hearing anywhere from mid first round to the 7th round.
I think that says alot about the varying opinions on his prospects as a pro. |

Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
You know what's so amazing about this thread? And by amazing I mean stupid.
You basically started a thread to tell us that you don't think Tebow is the answer for the Redskins...yet no one was asking that question. Remarkable.
I can just picture your face when u type that |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Tebow is not an NFL quarterback, period.
I think if they do draft a QB it should be in the 7th round. Vinny has been hot there lately.
Best post in thread, me and my friend were joking Sunday that we should trade all picks for seventh rounders. |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Tebow wont make it past the jaguars, they are in love with him. As for bradford and mccoy they are not the anwser either, what we need is ol, pure and simple ol and lots of it.

Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Look, I'm a huge Florida Gators fan, but Tebow is Not the answer nor is he an NFL QB. Sam Bradford is probably the best NFL ready QB. He's very very accurate. If he falls to us next year, and Campbell we know won't be here, then we should get him. All the other QB's in the draft I think are ok but not going to be good QB's in the pros. McCoy is a good college QB, but doesn't have it all. Jevan Snead, I've watched him play, but he's very inaccurate at times. Tebow is slow at throwing the ball/it just hangs and wobbles in the air a while, he's a lefty QB which isn't really common in the NFL, and his stats are blown up because he really is the true definition of a system QB. He is also widely regarded as one of the greatest college QB's of all time, not just cause of his passing, but because of his running, and that will work in college but the pro's..No.

Agreed. I'm done posting new threads, because apparently only ignorant/unnecessary/crazy threads get attention. By the way, am I the only one that likes the CFB replays on ESPNU during the week? Sometimes I miss some of the games because I am tailgating before a Terps game, so it is nice to catch up during the week. Also, the NFL replay feature on Verizon FIOS is pretty cool too. You get to watch a 10 minute recap of the game showing you important plays...basically the game in 10 mins, it is pretty cool. |

That someone would be me.. But I don't know what would go in it.. Funny stuff goes in the super happy fun thread... bitching goes in the rant thread. politics goes all over off-topic.. What else would go in the worthless thread? |

I think it is easy to feel stupid threads get attention because there are simply a ton of stupid threads...lol |

Any thread that is anything other than positive or optomistic is considered worthless. Of course this applies only to the Redskins, and only the week after a loss. |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
I feel people just need a place to vent. Their lives suck, they look forward to skins games, and after the skins lose everything just sorta cascades and they flip.
Unfortunately this whole process occurs on the warpath |

Unfortunately this whole process occurs on the warpath
There are threads where people can vent, it just that it seems everyone has to come up with their own venting thread, and typically they don't even do a good job at that. |

Unfortunately this whole process occurs on the warpath
I agree, and I also think that's one of the reasons why most of us are here in the first place. It does present a place where people can release a little frustration. They abandon the optimism and positivity because that's not what they feel at the time. We're all human, we get frustrated and call things like we see them. Now, we may not always agree, but isn't this what it's all about, a place where we can all agree to disagree? |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Wives go into hiding.
Dogs spend the day outside. Household objects quiver in fear. The Redskins lose and damnit someone's got hell to pay. Why not take it out on random people who did absolutely nothing to you and really don't care a thing about why you think JC's shittyness makes Ryan Leaf look like Joe Montana or that Daniel Snyder makes Al Davis look like Jack Kent Cooke. This sounds like the perfect idea to me! Why not head right on over to the Warpath.net and vent your frustrations? At the end of the day you'll look like an asshat, but damned if you don't feel a little bit better. :smashfrea |

Ditto, OL then maybe a guy like Jevan Snead or Dan LeFevour in the 2nd Round |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Look at Matt Stafford, JaMarcus Russell, Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Alex Smith, Kyle Boller, Rex Grossman, David Carr, Joey Harrington, and Patrick Ramsey... All first round picks.
I left out Campbell, because I think the jury is still out on him, but a lot of people are ready to replace him, which by that logic would mean Washington is the only team to have two first round busts at quarterback in the last seven seasons. Why bother wasting another first round pick?
Chicago Rex Grossman QB Cade McNown QB UCLA 1st rd pick. I think Chicago also had two 1st rd picks. |

Seriously, LeFevour is my favorite QB coming out this year. More on topic of this thread...yeah, it sucks. In regards to the OP: I didn't know they ran the Spread Option in the NFL...the only system that allows Tebow to play QB. |

Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
lol. He worked out pretty well when I drafted him in Madden.
Seriously though, I would have a lot of concerns over whether or not his success in college will translate to the NFL level. |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Sure, Urban Meyer is probably going to be our coach next year anyways.
The Danny already tried a hotshot Gators coach with a spread offense run by his college QBs. Run away from that notion. Far, far away.

Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Man you guys are tough on thread starters ! Maybe the guy just got a bad grade on a test, or maybe his supervisor just took his Swindline Stapler, or maybe his wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/children just gave him a hard time and he wasn't thinking clearly. I did smile though because I've been screaming for Tim Tebow for a year now in my circle. It's mainly his intangibles and the fact that he a winner. Plain and simple. Maybe Campbell can do it but it's the fact that so many years in we're still saying maybe. There are more Campbell threads then there are scuffs on my shoes from my train ride in this morning so I'll stop there. But, IF and it's a big if Tim Tebow is here next year then I would be BOOSTED. At least if things went wrong then I'd be kicking myself. But I'm doing that now because I'm about to lose $50 when I could've won $100 for betting on JC.
16 more games and 20 touchdowns to go. C'mon Jason, I believe in you. |

Id have to agree, and Im not trying to bash anyone. The season is a week old, lets wait until at least wk9-10, and we are struggling before we start talking about next year. |

Ok Mr. company line. LOL. ESPN360 is cool too, I have been able to catch some of the non-televised Terp games. |

Talking about Tebow after 1 game = retarded.
Well if you don't demand quality then what do you have ? Jason Campbell staring on Sunday. Bu-bum Ching ! I don't even post sometimes because what I'm thinking make sense once it's typed. If talking about Tebow after one game is retarded then I must be brain dead because that's all i've been talking about since Sunday here at work. That and the hatred laced radio show that Lavar hosts. The guy just needs to start chasing his liquor or just quit cold turkey. HTTR |

Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
most things i have read about tebow (and I don't follow the college game closely at all) is that if he plays in the nfl it will likely be as an H back. I think we have that pretty sewn up.
don't see how he could help us |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
I think Campbell is good, but Tim Tebow is a natural leader which I think could benefit the Skins in many ways
|
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
Well you prefer 5 years of Campbell and Zorn. I know he is the answer in your eyes. Just let him learn how to play he will develope into a good QB ... That's your idea.
What are you smoking? We nees a Franchise QB like the elite teams in the NFL and Campbell sorry to tell you buddy if you have not seen it yet is not a good QB. Just ask Denver if Orton is better than Campbell? If Campbell was so good or had potential with the Denver receivers they have they could have taken Campbell... Campbell is a joke...
agreed cambell is not good |
Re: Tebow: Is he the Redskins solution?
We already have the solution it's Jason Campbell relax its only been one game.
