They have been rather lame this year. That Favre one was pretty good.

All these Bud Light commercials are weak.

Has R. Wayne caught a pass yet ? I could see the Colts sending him deep and getting a huge gain , if N.O. forgets about him ....

Yeah, really quick first half.

I want to see a Miller Lite commercial. Their ads have been solid lately.

That was dumb. I would have taken the points.

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

Greg Williams should have told Sean Payton, When i was with coach Gibbs we would kick the FG in this situation.

Ruhskins 02-07-2010 07:45 PM

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

A Reggie Bush punt returned for a TD would be huge for the Saints.

You have to take the 3 in the first half in a close one. DUMB CALL!

Well having the Colts start inside their 5 forced them to run three times.

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

Better go for the FG this time and try to get something! 10-6 would be mission accomplished.

is anyone actually excited to see the who at halftime???

There will be a Budweiser commercial in each the 3rd and 4th quarters, and a Michelob Ultra in the 3rd. Not sure about any Miller Lite commercial though

Longtimefan 02-07-2010 07:53 PM

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

This has been a fairly even first half. Would be a tie game had NO scored the TD on that last drive they got nothing from. Good first half...

LOL . Should the Saints trail by 13 with 4:00 minutes to go in the game , G. Williams should tell Coach P. " when I was with coach Gibbs , we were in the same situation in Dallas and Brunell threw 2 td's and we kicked their asses "

BTW, speaking of commercials, what did everyone think of the family first commercial with Tebow and his mom? I can't believe anyone would be up in arms about that. NOW needs to shut up. That was a totally respectful, nice commercial. It didn't even mention the word "abortion." Sally Jenkins was right in her article- the commercial wasn't intolerant. The critics are.

I was just saying that to my friends. I'd rather have Janet Jackson whipping out a boob anyday than watching some old grandpas (Yeah, they're a classic band, I understand that) playing the Super Bowl show.

Boy, CBS did everything to cater to the 30 and older crowd for the halftime show, didn't they?

I wonder if they changed things. Regardless, I don't care what side of the political spectrum you are in, and don't care much for political commercials in the SB. Why polarized one of the few things that actually brings people of different beliefs together?

I still remember that Janet jackson Super Bowl halftime. I say Thank You Justin Timberlake ! Been waitin to see that thing since I was a youngster. I can remember standing up and applauding. But seriously, damn you FCC for getting so damned pressed.

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

You know, I'd rather watch Led Zepplin than The Who. If they HAVE to be rock bands can they find one a little more current. If I wasn't around when a gallon of milk was $.10 then I really can't enjoy the halftime show.

I realize that I contradicted myself by saying Zepplin but they F'n crank.

Re: Super Bowl XLIV Gameday Thread: Saints vs. Colts

Does Pete Townshend seem drunk? I haven't seen the Who in a number of years live but he has had moments where he seemed to be playing a different song, tempo, or whatever from the rest of the band.

Easy. I'm 31 and I'm not enjoying any part of this halftime show. I could give a who about The Who.
