Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
If my life depended on the Redskins signing Flozell Adams I wouldn't feel good about my chances. Chad Clifton, Tony Pashos, and a couple others have gone through town without a contract.
They were FA's looking for a pay day, Adams as much as we hate his ass and dirty as he is, was cut and would be cheaper. |

He was still a cowgirl. Just SAY NO!!!!!!! |
Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
I think this guy should fall in the Skins lap and it looks more and more like the obvious choice. Now that the RB situation looks to be taken care of for now as well as the QB position, this has to be the biggest need on the team

Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
Sign Flozell...draft Okung. Pooooof! Left tackle problem solved.

You know what that means don't you? We are going to draft him #4. Shanny plays the shadow games playing up the guys he's not going to draft... a la Tebow... to put off people to who he really wants. The only other situation I see happening other than Okung is trading down for more picks and another lineman. Mark my words. |
Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
see my reasoning is that with all the offensive line talent in this draft, it wouldn't be the end of the world if we trade that pick away. I am sure some teams are extremely interested in Clausen and would be happy to give up perhaps a few 2nds or next year's 1st to trade with us and grab the ND product. And if we get Brian Baluga or Trent Williams, we will be fine at tackle

Totally agree, good post, that Okung visit WAS low key as hell. Now that you mention it, it most likely wasnt a coincidence..... |
Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
I just don't see them getting Okung on the 4th with so many other needs elsewhere and few picks. There is going to be lots more activity and trades.
Are u blind???!! The OL was f-ing atrocious last year and that is now w/o a doubt the biggest need. Besides, OL has a huge drop off after the first 3 rounds because they are in such high demand |
Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
The Okung visit would have gotten more press if it wasn't for the McNabb hurricane that blew through DC.

Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
Trent Williams also visited on Thursday, apparently.

Re: Russell Okung visits the Redskins
Okung is the man to take, IMO. and last season i wanted Oher. i love Orakpo, but if the skins went tackle- tackle back to back drafts, the line would be set for the next 10 years

It was atrocious!! That's why they need to trade down and get 2 OL instead of 1 in the first 3 rounds. |
