I think that JC is better than Grossman. Who knows if Grossman would have a step up on him from his one whole year in Houston, but as far as overall ability I'd put my money on JC over Rex.

I can tell you for one he has to stay healthy. Put some meat on his bones and weight lift a lot so he can take an NFL hit with out having another year of riding the bench.

As I see both Grossman and Brennan I see gun slingers. They will have their occassional interception but will also be the types to fit balls where most QB would not chance it. But as most have said if he can stay healthy keep his nose in the play book and learn it inside and out maybe his youth keeps him on this team. I see Bartel as being gone and if we are stuck with JC cause we can't move him perhaps Colt is gone also. This might be his last year to be put on PS or maybe he can't all together. I don't know.

The big question I have is who gets number 5? Has the team given it to McNabb and Colt got screwed or will McNabb have to pay Colt for it or will McNabb want another number as a show of starting fresh in a new city?

I agree with you all the way up until you said Colt got out played. I too am a Chase fan and liked what he offered. I wish we kept him. I too think he would have surpassed Colt but last preseason I felt Colt did better then Collins also. He just can't stay healthy. Because of that issue I'm about ready to pass on him as well.

Hands down JC wins this one. But, he wants to start so I don't see him staying. With that said, it would be really nice to have JC back up DM and Grossman backing JC. Probably never gonna happen. Nah, never gonna happen ;)

I would like that alot i think JC can learn alot from DM, but MS said in DM's news conference JC asked for permission to look for another starting job on another team and he was granted it. CB is young & he can learn alot from DM, 4 to 5 yrs as DM's backup & then he takes over that would be a good look for either JC or CB.

Lets wait and see. After the third week of preseason the staff can make an informed decision on their QB's that are still here. At the moment other than Donvan McNabb, we do not know who will be going to camp at QB.

I think Brennan has great upside especially in Shanni's version of the west coast. I think Rex is a lot better than people think though. I don't see Brennan overtaking Rex in one preseason but hopefully they keep him as the 3rd. I just hate to see Brennan go to another team and blow up. It wont be worth the "told u so" in the end. I'm glad Campbells no longer in the realistic scenario. He's a good guy and it really wouldn't hurt so much if he went to another team and did well. I doubt him being anything more than mediocre is in the cards though.

Funny you should mention it.... I would love to see Episode VII with Vader (Colt) wiping the floor with everyone the whole movie. Similar story in that Mace Windu (Zorn) never gave ole Darth a chance either. I thought about comparing Zorn to Yoda but that really would be a joke.

Grossman was brought in before the Skins could even think of landing a QB like McNabb,back when they were thinking of drafting a QB in the 1st round and needed someone with experience in the offense to get them by as the rook learned. We have all seen sexy rexy at his best and his worst. I think it could be a tossup between him and Brennan where preseason will determine the winner of the 2 spot. And imho with the Skins having a shortage of picks i cant see them bringing in another QB during the draft.

Well, I was in Zorn's corner for about a season and a half, so I guess I can stay in Colt's for another year. Really, I hope he makes the 53 man roster. (I liked Zorn as a person, and Clinton made me root for him as a coach!!! Dang, if only Zorn could coach! But then maybe we woldn't have Shanahan this year, which I really like.)

Bottom lime is brennan is still on the roster. They could have cut him when they released Collins and the rest of the dead weight but they didn't. Rumor was that Shanny 2.0 (Kyle) loves CB15 and why would daddy not let his heir keep his own QB to develop for a few years?

McNabb is only going to be around 4-5 seasons tops. Grossman only has a one year contract, so he is fodder, but if called in and he plays good he will stay. Shanny is going to have fun with Donovan, but that isn't going to be his man. Donovan=Brunell til the kid is ready to go. Brennan at best is a third string QB. Remember if we didn't take him, nobody would have in the draft probably. And Chase Daniel came off as more poised and more efficient than Colt. If Chase was 6'2", Brennan would be back in Hawaii working at a surf pro shop. We will go QB in 2011 or 2012. If the rest of the NFL didn't want Brennan, there is a reason for that. Just like JC will only garner us a 3 round pick. Also you forget about the JC trade coming up. We might get our picks back for 2010 yet.

This makes sense to me. If they do not aquire more draft picks, I don't see how they can commit another pick to QB.

What do we have now, 4 picks? At least 2 have to go to the line. [I]At least[/I] and we probably need a corner, linebacker and safety as well...

Better backup situation in 5 yrs? Collins was phenomenal in 07 and honestly, he probably should have been the starter for both years under Saunders.

Competition will be the deciding factor in determining the fate of QB's and every other position. There are elements that have to play themselves out after a complete evaluation of all the QB's currently on the roster, or any subsequent new additions.

With the current limbo status of Jason Campbell, it may be a while before there's a complete order established. Brennan and Grossman both will get their turns in the rotation to demonstrate their worth. May be too early to determine who will be # 2 & 3 if any of them.
