Maybe he's diabetic. :D Probably not. Most of the time, that's just a stupid way to think. |

Probably not. Most of the time, that's just a stupid way to think.[/quote] Well technically you are removing calories from the overall meal by not drinking regular soda vs. having a that meal with a regular coke. I will eat something greasy and still get a diet coke, do I think I am on a diet by doing that or think I am eating health nope but I don't like regular coke. |

It used to piss me off when people would do that when I worked at a movie theater and ordered a large popcorn covered in butter. Later in life I realized that when I wanted something fatty that when you get something like that, you just can't have water with it. A nice diet soda washes those down pretty nice. |

You need the bubbles to help scrub the fat out of your mouth and throat. =) |

thats what she said |
Re: Meat meets meat in KFC's no-bun sandwich
I find most people who like diet drinks will not drink regular drinks and people who drink regular soda cannot drink diet. I cannot drink any form of diet drink and cannot use any of those bad tasting fake sugars. I just get a laugh when I see some eat like that and order a diet drink they just don't seem to go together.

Re: Meat meets meat in KFC's no-bun sandwich
Regular soda is just too sweet to me, it leaves me more thirsty. So on the rare occassion I want a soda, I drink diet. 90% of the time I drink water, iced tea, or seltzer.

I feel the same way about diet soda and I to drink alot of water and tea. This weekend my wife made 3 large things of tea and wanted to know how I could drink that much tea. Well if she did not go to bed so early (sick) She would have seen me a the neighbor getting pretty slamed while cooking some ribbs. |
Re: Meat meets meat in KFC's no-bun sandwich
I use to like iced tea but my sister suffers from kidney stones (I have never seen someone in so much pain that includes my wife giving birth) and the doc told her tea is one of the things that can create kidney stones. I want no part of kidney stones.

Along these lines, I gave up soda for Lent 8 or 9 years ago. Easter Morning, one of my presents was a 2 liter bottle of Cherry Coke (my favorite soda at the time). One sip and I had to pour it out. Ever since then, if I drink soda, it's gotta be diet. Regular Sprite and Ginger Ale aren't too bad, but I won't go near a regular Coke or Pepsi. I go in phases, but most days I drink coffee until 10am or so, then water the rest of the day, and maybe a soda with lunch or dinner. |
Re: Meat meets meat in KFC's no-bun sandwich
I drink WAY too much soda and I could never stand the taste of diet until Coke/Cherry Coke Zero. I also don't mind Diet Dr Pepper or Sprite Zero but I wouldn't say I prefer any of them to the real thing.

Re: Meat meets meat in KFC's no-bun sandwich
i honestly can't remeber the time i had a dark soda, i might have had two or three sips of sprite in the past year, i really just don't like soda i feel like it slows me down, the only way i like my sugar is in smartie form

Re: Meat meets meat in KFC's no-bun sandwich
I haven't had a sip of a soda since the day before Thanksgiving last year. Since then it's been water, and water when I'm not in a mood for water :D

You know you don't have to hit "Submit Reply" as soon as you are done typing. You can go back and proof it. |

His brain works so fast that his finger hits the mouse button and submits it before he tells it to. The before he knows it, he's reading another thread before realizing he left the previous one. |
