Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
When Reid said "killed it," apparently he was quoting a team source. So I guess that's good.
|
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Well, I'd take Reid, who is there, over ANY fox news source.
Well, I'd take Reid, who is there, over ANY fox news source.
Reid's post came after Jay Glazer, who I'm getting ready to stop following on Twitter because all his postss deal with MMA. |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
From Reid...
JReidPost Never wrote Haynesworth did pass test, just that one source said he did well in his opinion. Also wrote we were waiting for official word. |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Yeah, I just got off of the phone with AH and he said that there is no truth to the rumor that he failed. He also told me to stop calling him or he was going to have me arrested for stalking him.
He and I hang out all of the time in the limbic system. |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
My take is this...let him pass the damn test, and beat the hell out of him in drills.
|
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Well what happened they let him do the first part and he did really good. He then tried to take himself out of the test and they made him stay in there and he was out of gas.
|
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
I did hear Haslett this morning saying AH will be on the backup defense until he works his way up to the first team. I like that move. Make him earn it.
|
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
So much for Haynesworth saying he won't be a distraction when he arrives for camp. He can't even pass the tests he needs to to friggin practice. I'd say that's fairly distracting you overpaid lard.
|
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Really? I just heard literally a minute ago on the Mike Wise Show on 106.7 that he showed up this morning about 90 minutes early and passed his fitness test.
Wow reporters really should check their sources before reporting something. He either failed or he didn't there is not much wiggle room. |
These conflicting reports are so damn annoying. How about we wait to hear the official word from the team?
|
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Switching away from the AH drama, here's a post regarding TW via Twitter:
RickMaese: Less than 3 hrs and still no contract for Trent Williams. Told two sides are "making progress," which is what you say when there's no deal |

Welcome to the world of "real-time" reporting. Reid technically didn't say anything wrong |

I guess this is what happens when 1 agency is controlling 3 of the top 4 picks. They will be able to play each pick off of each other and really control the top of the draft. |

They all say they want to sign and be in camp which I think they mean but they leave off the part "if I can get the right deal in time". |

Your right, just wish there was a final word from one source not 20. I know you are affiliated with the media and it is not a jab at you Smoot. In the 21st century when you have 30 people trying to break a story and fans waiting around to hear what the results were, this kind of stuff is bound to happen. It is frustrating as a fan is all and we all know now that he "failed" but it still sounds as though the big guy was actually working pretty hard to get himself in shape (like he said he was) and just blew part of the test. |

I didn't take it as a jab, so no worries. |

I know this is an afternoon practice, but does anyone know if we are in pads? Zo at the opposite LOLB! Good to see this as well. |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
These are some good names to have on our field:
RedskinsDotCom RT @redskinsblog As part of Minority Coaching Fellowship program, #Redskins have Terrell Davis, Steve Atwater and Michael Pittman at camp. 1 minute ago via web |

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Mike Furrey reportedly looking impressive, totally forgot about him. Other receivers seems to be struggling a bit
CP looks to be in the best shape he's been since he joined the team (only what I've been told, so I don't know what it actually means) |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Kind of a sloppy practice overall, bad weather likely the main culprit.
Looks like the players really respect Galloway (again, just stuff I'm being told from folks down there) |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
And in former Redskins news, here's what someone has told me about Campbell's first day in Oakland, for those wondering:
"Definitely a leader out there, already has command of the huddle...but he keeps underthrowing that deep pass. Nnamdi's owning him" |

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Lorenzo Alexander continues to look really impressive (was hoping to hear something on Wilson, but haven't)
Grossman looked sharp, Bartel not so much Overall, and not surprisingly, defense looked crisper than the offense |

lol @ AH thread being longer than this
there was some good info on twitter all day.. I was glued to it reading, replying, RT'ing, etc |
will Brian Westbrook join the club?
he's pulling a Favre, Larry Weisman and Larry Michael just spoke to Byron and he said Brian is waiting for the right opportunity |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Will Robinson is practicing at LT until Trent is signed
DT and MK practiced with 2nd team Galloway practiced with 1st team, according to reporters he's definitely well respected.. there were even fan chants with his name lol.. McNabb had a heckler saying that we need Campbell back.. then to put McNabb back in due to needing more practice.. McNabb fumbled twice in 11-on-11s and there were some "weird interceptions" and misses on AH's way off of the field after doing some drills with Haslett and the D-Line coach (Burney I think?) a fan said something like "don't worry al, we still love you, do 10 more laps and we'll love you even more" haha Hall said that there were other players that couldn't have passed AH's test and that some are meant to be unattainable, but Shanahan said that the drill had been part of the DL group's offseason conditioning and all had done it (no clue how many times they had to though) Shanahan says he and AH didn't share words and that AH was first class all the way, thinks AH will pass it within a couple of days |
Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
Thanks, Try! Good stuff. I am so psyched that camp is finally here!!!!

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
After looking more closely at the two pics I think his shoulders look a little more defined and his head doesn't look as big, as well as a slight difference between the arms. Either way I don't feel like he lost enough to not play DT.

Re: The Official 2010 Training Camp Thread
He definitely looks a little tighter.
