Re: China Jersey
I got my jerseys in the mail today. The Tebow and Orakpo are money. The stitching looks very good, it's got all the NFL/Reebok tags, and despite what tryfuhl mentioned about the numbers looking small on the front, they're not. Maybe they're fake, but they could fool me. Certainly worth $26 a piece. For whatever negligible differences there are between these jerseys and the $300 "real" authentics, I'd say I got a heckuva deal.
cool.. mind taking some pics? I believe you I just want to see actual product and some of the up close stuff.. material, seams, etc.. like some of em I saw had diff seam lines than others.. not talking about stitch pattern, but where the actual cuts of fabric met, etc |
Re: China Jersey
here's what I'm talking about
vs |
Re: China Jersey
I don't remember if the authentics from a few years ago used that cut in the top.. if they did I think that it cut straight across but slightly above the V bottom of the neck, but it's clear to see that the perforated portion travels from the bottom and arcs from the armpit to the edges of the neck on the true authentic
the fake up top cuts off in a rectangular fashion well below the neck a couple of other things that I didn't point out earlier.. there's no ^ cut on the sides.. the positioning of the stripes on the sleeves is off.. or the length.. look at the diff of length of the white after the burg/gold stripe I'd honestly pay up to 100ish for a good fauxthentic, I just haven't found one that existed yet |
Re: China Jersey
you can tell that at least since ST's rookie year it's used the current cut.. at least as far as the front perforated portion goes, didn't bother looking further back
I'm not advocating spending 300 on something that costs less than a 10th of that to make most likely, just saying that they're not as close as most people make them out to be that's why I asked for pics though, want to see if they've updated them or what |

Yeah I'll snap some pics at some point. I'm about to start a fantasy draft, so it's probably not gonna happen tonight. |
Re: China Jersey
have fun man

Re: China Jersey
okay tryfuhl- I snapped a few with the iPhone. Again, it compared very closely with an actual authentic (5 or 6 year old NYJ Chad Pennington) up close. You could kinda feel that the actual authentic had a little more weight to it, but again, worth that difference in cost? Not in my opinion.

Re: China Jersey
I'm not a big jersey guy. I only own a few. I prefer t-shirts- just more comfortable. But for me, this jersey was absolutely worth $26. The Broncos Tim Tebow I bought was the exact same as the Orakpo quality-wise. The John Wall I got is very nice too, but I'm going to have to get it tapered. I got a size 52 just like the football jerseys, but it's way longer. Good quality though.

Instead it arcs up from the armpit to near the top of the shoulder area. It's not squared off like that Cooley. Here this may show what I'm talking about: |
Re: China Jersey
i just got an auto'd orakpo jersey stitched off ebay for 40 bucks
|
Re: China Jersey
yeah your fauxthentic looks a lot closer like an authentic
I just see so many fake ones that it's hard for me to justify |
Re: China Jersey
Looks good GM. Think I might have to order a few up.

Re: China Jersey
Your tebow jersey is a broncos ? Why didn't u get a gators tebow?

Re: China Jersey
Anyone know where to get a real embroidered nameplate made? I've got a Reebok JC17 stitched jersey that I wouldn't mind converting to a Williams :)
Most nameplates can be removed with a seam ripper. You can try a place that makes team uniforms like Teamwork Athletic or Youth Sports Market or A2Z Sports Apparel Team Uniforms Sporting Goods Equipment or All Sports Jerseys - Custom Sports Jerseys for all sports including Hockey, Baseball, Basketball, Athletic Knit Jerseys, and Volleyball Jerseys. If they don't have it available, you could probably purchase some tackle twill (shiny jersey material) and see if a local printing/uniform place can do the lettering. If it's screen-printed, it will be much easier to find someone to do it locally. |

The wife and I both already have one. :) |
Re: China Jersey

Re: China Jersey
^ gotcha.. Still broncos?? Yuck
Well, Tebow is my favorite Gator of all time, so I'm all about supporting him. And I have nothing against the Broncos. The Skins only play them once every four years. |
Re: China Jersey
I love Tebow also but I can't wear any other teams jersey.. I'd feel bad lol But I see what your saying

. I'll just have the college one custom made if it's that serious. |
Re: China Jersey
^ I've never worn any other NFL team apperal. I got a favre packers jersey when I was a kid. Never wore it lol even though I lived in his hometown
|
Re: China Jersey
Well, I got a maroon Orakpo, white John Wall, and maroon Tim Tebow for a total of $104 including shipping. Not too bad. I wasn't going to pull the trigger, but a guy I work with is a Bears fan, and he's ordered multiple jerseys from this site. He told me it's legit, and his authentic Hester and Urlacher jerseys are the real deal. So he claims anyway. But I trust him. Besides, had I ordered those jerseys from the team's website, it would have cost around $900. Even if they aren't perfect, it was worth it for that price break.
lol somehow I missed this Zorn-esque moment |

I just hoped someone had a good connection already for doing this sort of thing. Apparently the NFL cracked down on it a while back as far as their "official" suppliers go, so it's sort of a "ask a vendor you have a good relationship with if they can go look in the back" kind of a thing. I guess the NFL didn't like fans who paid hundreds of dollars for authentic jerseys spending another $20 to update them, when they could be making another couple hundred bucks to sell them an entirely new jersey :P |
Re: China Jersey
Find whoever designs/makes sportswear in your area. Typically you can get an answer from HS's or colleges on who they use.

Re: China Jersey
One of my friends work in China for 5 years. He said the Chinese embroidery and knit is perfect. And the raw material is rather cheap. So the export commodities are very cheap.
So he told me to consider the China Jersey. |
Re: China Jersey
well there you have it
|
Re: China Jersey
pics of china jerseys?
|
Re: China Jersey
"the china jersey"
lol |
Re: China Jersey
Some of the guys here at work put an order in and needed more people to get free shipping, so I chipped in. Used Btradejersey. The quality on an away Orakpo was pretty good. It's one I can wear without worrying about spilling a beer/food but it's a good knock off. Fonts are right, stitching is good, colors are right on...
However, I had a very bad experience with another order I placed from http://www.111today.com/. It was hilariously bad. The NFL Equipment Shield read "NFL Equip," the size was way off, the nameplate was crooked and the color wasn't right, it was a shade in between Redskins burgundy and Chiefs red. As soon as I opened the package, I laughed and gave it to my wife. Asked her to see if she could tailor it down for our dog. |
Re: China Jersey
Anyone have any current sites they have used for cheap jerseys? A lot of th older ones that I knew have been shut down.
|
Re: China Jersey
Anybody used c2cjerseys.com? It's the apparent successor to the site GMScud ordered his jersey off of last year. The site that GMScud got his jersey from links to c2c when you place something in the cart, but for some reason when you place something in the cart at c2c it says
Attention please Because our Web Server fails, you can't place an order on this website, Please visit our new website: c2cjerseys.com to place an order. Now, The new products will be updated only in c2cjerseys.com , and this websites will no longer be updated. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience to you and your understanding is highly appreciated. If you have any questions please contact us. Thank you!
that. Also when you go to c2cjerseys.com there is a notice at the top to check the domain name, because apparantly someone is committing fraud by doing the phishing scam where you think you're on the site but you're actually on a fake site that wants your info. So if you're on c2cjerseys.com that's the right link. But I'm hesitant to try and order from there because the whole web server failing thing going on there along with the domain name fraud. |
Re: China Jersey
I dunno man, sounds sketchy. Those fake jersey sites come and go so quickly personally I wouldn't buy from them.
|
Re: China Jersey

Re: China Jersey
I would be careful of anything coming from China. It might be cheap but so will the quality. A few times in the washer and it will look like @#%.
