Or, if you miss the 2 point conversion, and the Jets score a touchdown (along with the extra point; making it 18-15), a field goal will only tie the score. But since he went for the higher percentage play (the extra point) a field goal would have beaten the Jets 19-18.
Its preseason, and shanny already said he is passing alot more than rushing in order to see and evaluate his WR's. W?L means absolutely nothing in PS, and what the hell does it matter? run a conversion play because they theoretically could miss an extra point attempt if they score a touchdown?

Are you kidding me? LOL. Shanny must not be taking this team seriously. We should can him, and this 2 point conversion that he didnt run just proves he is here for a big payday, and not to win.

DAMN HIM......of all the luck......
Thank goodness you're just joking
I understand but certain people ripped the Ravens for practicing a fake punt but people want us to practice 2pt conversions. IMO you can't say NO to this but YES to that.
I didn't rip the Ravens for practicing a fake punt. That is what the preseason is for: practice, as well as getting certain things on film.

I noticed that the Bears went for 2 late in the game so that they could cut the Cards lead to three and increase the chances of overtime. They showed us that just because it is preseason doesn't mean you can't be competitive. It is still a game which should be played the right way.

The chart says go for 2 in that situation against the Jets. We didn't have to open the playbook, just run a regular preseason play and go for two. But we couldn't follow the chart because, unlike other smart and successful coaches, Shanny doesn't need one. He obviously is above the Dungy's and Belichicks of the world.

Remember people, arrogance was a major factor in Shanny's undoing in Denver.

Have you seen the chart? Just where is it written that coaches MUST (which is what you're implying) go for two in that exact situation?

Again, by going for the higher percentage play of the extra point, a field goal would have beaten the Jets 19-18 if they scored a touchdown after us.

Eff the chart. The Chart wasn't handed down in stone by Moses.

My God, Florio and JLC. Are you guys retarded?

Is our best defensive lineman really going to miss our biggest home game of the year?

Do you smoke alot of crack and free base herion for 5 days or so before you report things over there?

For anyone thinking that AH or DM will miss this game barring having a missing limb or broken bones they must be a Cowboys fan. We all know that our 2 biggest pieces on defense and offense are not going to miss Sunday Night Football and the Dallas Cowboys.

Now I am going to have to hear it from all these cowboys fans for the next 12 days about how DM is fragile and AH is nothing but problems. Then after we beat them I can finally not be so frustrated by stupid people.
