Re: Game Balls
Laron at SS is a pro-bowler. He was a beast tonight. But god all mighty we don't have a Free safety. Moore can't come back fast enough.
|
Re: Game Balls
O: Trent (for holding his own in his FIRST NFL GAME!!!); Portis for showing that he's the best blitz pickup guy in the biz
D: Rak--nuff said; D Hall--the TO TD, but also, fire all night long; Laron--his best game as a skin, IMO. That tackle on third down where he turned on the jets--amazing. STs: Gano--awesome late FG; DT--good to see the kid contributing. WHOOOOHOOOHOOHOOO!!!!!! **** DALLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Landry was all over the place just attacking, gotta give him some credit no doubt.
I still want to see better tackling out of him. He had some great ones, but that botched sack was pretty bad. |

Yeah poor Reed looked terrible tonite. The obvious was the Dallas touchdown, but I saw two plays where he took bad angles and cowboys RBs ran past him and then he missed a tackle on another play. Not his best game. |

Other than that play I thought his tackling was much improved. Give some credit to Romo he's not an easy guy to sack. |

Yeah, he's a shifty mofo. And is it just me or did Dez Bryant get pounded by the Redskins? Welcome to the NFL rook!!! |
Re: Game Balls
1) Hall - a beast, easily the game winner.
2) Entire Defense - nail biting, but great to watch. 3) Shanahan -- gutsy call to go for 49 yd field goal.. If you miss it, you give them the ball with 20 yards to tie you.. I think this wins the game for us. 4) Gano - see above. 5) Landry - for showing up, finally. 6) T.Williams - overall a good rookie game. got beat a couple of times. Question marks: 1) Rogers - had a game-ending interception and he misses it... again. 2) All WRs aside from Moss - were they playing at all? Can anyone catch anymore? 3) Punter - seriously? a 20 yard punt from our endzone? 4) Kyle - why did we throw it 3 times at the 4yd line? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.. |
Re: Game Balls
Anyone notice that Gano punted it once as well?
NFL.com didn't even give him the stat but his punt was the one immediately after Bidwell's 27 yarder. 14:29 left in the 4th quarter. |

He did? When?? |
Re: Game Balls
Hall played well in this game. Not just on a few really big plays, but in coverage as well.
Game ball to Phillip Buchanon for running down Miles Austin from behind. Also Jim Haslett, for being awesome. |
Re: Game Balls
Landry
Landry at least gets the Fletcher's Clone of the game award |

Dez Bryant might have played a big part in us winning the game. The Cowboys desire to justify their shiny new toy led to a bunch of boneheaded playcalls. Calling the exact same screen twice in a row is idiotic to say the least, especially when you're driving down field. |
Re: Game Balls
Buchanon turned on the jets to save a td....bigups to PB
He did the same thing to Adrian Peterson last year, forcing a fumble inside the five.

game ball to the guy who recorded THIS

That wasn't Gano, that was #6, Bidwell.

Re: Game Balls
Sorry, but it was a team effort, the whole team should get the ball and also we cant forget, Dan Snyder should get this game ball, Seeing he is sitting back and letting the coaches and GM do their jobs

Re: Game Balls
Game Ball
Offense-Portis for picking up blitzes Defense-Hall 23 was so clutch .. he was great in preseason and always makes plays unlike Rogers 22 Special Teams-Gano .. that FG was clutch right down the middle HTTR :food-smil |
Re: Game Balls
Rogers played well in coverage, you guys are acting out a bit
I know we didn't score much but I give one to CP, he threw some wicked blocks, and started turning on some juice near the end...
I like this. I also wanna give a ball (cut into several small pieces) to the O-line. For the most part they gave DM some time. |
Re: Game Balls
If our DBs played well how is it that Miles Austin looked like Jerry Rice out there? Our pass defense may not be broken but it's definitely is in need of repair.
|
Re: Game Balls
Does anyone realize that Landry ended up with 17 tackles tonight? Also I have to admit I was a little worried that Orakpo was having trouble transferring his skill set to the 3-4, man was I wrong.
|
Re: Game Balls
Good team effort nice to finally hold on to a win in the final seconds. They got to put DT in at WR everyone else was dropping balls and those extra 4 inches in height would of helped in that fade right in the endzone. DT 6ft 2in & AA 5ft 10in.

Re: Game Balls
It seemed like everyone on the roster got into the game, except for Banks. I see no use for him if Buchanon and Thomas are ahead of him as returners. He has very little trade value.
|
Re: Game Balls
Mcnabb, Orakpo, Cooley, Moss, ST, OLine( Williams was great )
|

Re: Game Balls
Orakpo Hall Portis and Moss
|
Re: Game Balls
Yea I forgot Hall, great game and even Rogers
|
Re: Game Balls
The entire D. They played great.

Re: Game Balls
Game Ball
To all the defensive players responsible for those holding calls. 12 penalties for 91 yds. was huge. I've never seen FedEx as loud as it was last night, it really gave meaning to home-field again. Hall,Orakpo and Gano were easily singled out as key contributors. Not exactly a pretty game, but I'll take it. |
Re: Game Balls
I'm giving mine to Silverback, he showed he is gonna be a force to be reckoned with (Imagine if we had drafted the already injured Okung), thank god Samules is there to mentor him. Defense I loved what I saw from RAK and Landry, proud to wear my Landry jersey tonight in Korea!

Kind of like the FOOLS that called for a Landry trade. 17 tackles last night. SEVENTEEN. Where are the Landry Lemmings? I know you are out there.... |
Re: Game Balls
Only to be slightly edgy, I will give a game ball to S. Heyer. Why? WTF is this dude saying you ask. Well, I didn't even see him in the game, but everyone says he came in and gave J Brown a breather on a few plays. If that's true, then I think that's great, cuz I woulda cut him before training camp. So the fact that he can step in, allow Brown to get re-acclimated after a year off, and DMcnabb didn't get sacked because of it, then hoo-ray.
(Ok, maybe he doesn't get a game ball, but maybe a game twinkie?) |
Re: Game Balls
When's the last time a redskin has had 17 tackles.
Game ball to LL, Rak, and CP. CP is a great blocker. Rabach owes him a few beers. Other notables: Cooley, Moss, Gano, Trent Williams (if only for the one long distace run block in the first half-that was awesome), Mike Shanahan. |

I think we need to give credit where credit is do, Miles Austin is a good, no, really good wide receiver. |
Re: Game Balls
I was listening to espn980 this morning and sheehan gave gameballs to our traning and conditioning staff - we had 4 guys leave the game with cramps and they all went back in very quickly.
