I'm just curious if people are going to hold it against him if he doesn't play.
There are some on this sight that will criticize AH no matter what. Even on a thread about the death of his brother, some have to take their shots. It is amazingly sad that people can not put their bitterness aside for one moment and have a little respect for death of a human being....or at least not say anything!

I wouldn't hold it against him....its a tough loss I'm sure. That being said I personally I don't think he's much of a contributor to the team.

Not sure if you're saying this but half brother doesn't make it any less painful. Maybe they grew up together all their lives like brothers.

Additionally, I don't think there's any reason to knock Haynesworth if he chooses not to play on Sunday

Terrible news. Motorcycles are completely dangerous if not used properly.

I have had friends pass away from improper use. I also have friends who ride them respectfully and are well. It is all about the improper use.

My thoughts and prayers go out to AH's family and friends.

Haynesworth is pretty candid about his need for speed, and his penchant for driving at excessively high speeds is well documented (whether in his car, on his ATV, on his boat). I wonder if this tragedy will cause him to revisit his "speed hobby"

have you REALLY prayed to whatever God you beleive in about haynesworth's family? Or is it just another thing to say that has absolutely no meaning, like RIP?

Anytime I see something like this I say a small prayer in my mind, and I do think about how rough is it to lose a family member and what their family must be going through. I think it's just a human reaction that many people just stop for a second to think about our own mortality and how a loss affects family.

If the funeral is on Sunday he shouldn't play nor should he play if he can't focus and play at a high level. The NFL season is 16 games long...the decent thing to do is to show up for your teammates but if he doesn't I won't hold it against him.

There is nothing to clear up, my sisters are what you would say half but it pisses me off when people say thats your half sister not your real sister as if that makes a difference. If I was to lose one in a tragic way like this it would tear a hole right through my chest. My heart goes out to AL and I just hope he can find some peace some where from this awful death.

I wouldnt or couldnt, we dont know how close they where. I remember following my older brother around and idolizing him as a child and I remember him being my protector when I would get in to trouble at school or at home. So I bet AL's mind is full of all these memories that they shared together. The bond between brothers is something real special and I am glad I have that bond. It sad day for AL and his family.

Yes and no. When my grandfather passed away I still went to work the day I found out because it was our product release date and shit need to get done or we wouldn't make the date. Life is not always ideal, you got to do what you got to do even under tough circumstances.

No one should hold it against someone for putting family first though.

Your statement implied that it being his "half-brother" diminished the value of his life to Albert. I hate the term half-brother/half-sister. Either your brother/sister or your not.

According to the reports he was going around 100mph and weaving in and out of traffic. Sucks that the guy died but he was asking for trouble. Hope AH takes all the time he needs and IMO he should not play Sun. I wouldn't.

I pray for Albert and his family at such a hard time dealing with such a profound lose. I hope Albert now realizes that playing football is a gift and he has to enjoy every moment he has while doing it and making so much money. Take the time to recover and then come back and enjoy your life.
How about we not mention motorcycles or anything like that and just send some prayers to him and his family?

Whether he plays or not, that's truly up to him. If he thinks he could do his brother some honor by playing like a beast, more power to him, but I TOTALLY understand if he doesn't make the game.
Nah, eff that nonsense.

1) I'm not religious and don't feel like pretending there's somebody or something out there that can hear me say "God please care for his soul."

2) He deserves no prayers anyway, he was driving a motorbike at 100 mph. It's as stupid as it gets and the world is better off without him. In a way, it's better he died this way in an accident in which he killed nobody else. It prevents him from getting in another one down the line where the results could be different.

3) I feel for Albert though. He did lose his brother, and wouldn't hold it against him if he couldn't play. I know I wouldn't be ready to.

But regardless, this moron is the exact kind of example everyone should learn from.

Retarded logic. Staying in your house pretty much ruins your life (unless you're JD Salinger). Choosing not to ride a motorcycle doesn't at all.

There are risks you have to take in order to live a life worth living. Then there are unnecessary risks. Riding a motorbike qualifies. There are so many other ways to seek a thrill.

Don't dismiss the risk of riding a motorcycle, even as safely as possible. The insurance premiums say it all.

This may come as a shock S10, but your opinion is based on things that you believe to be true and not necessarily on any kind of fact.
It's one of the things that makes this country great. It is completely meaniningless what you believe to be true as it has......no influence on anybody elses life....unless they choose it to be.

You just made my point. To many many people this is the case. Hell motorcycles have spawned communities. To a good amount of people riding motorcycles is a way of life. I am not saying they're not dangerous.

This! while i'm sorry for his loss...I don't feel for the guy who is a MAN and decided to go over 100 on a freaking BIKE. i'm not religious either, I think that stuff is silly, but still, he chose this fate, not some supernatural being.

Fact being go fast on something that can lose control easily = not good.

If Albert chooses not to play I understand, i'd go to work though if I were him, didn't a certain Farve play on MNF when his father died?

Good looking out Warpaint I was not sure how close he was with his step brother. The article really clears that up he raised him during his teens. This has to be very dificult for Albert and his family right now. Lets just pray that his brother is saved and Albert to. At 23 everyone makes bad decision, and his decision caused his tragic death. He deserves all the prayers he can get, as well as his family.

I can't believe some of you. I really don't think it matters what you call the family member, what matters is how close the individual is to that person.

If AH was around him all his life, or grew up with him then he quite possibly is grieving hard. But even if he hardly knew him people fail to think others in his family might be having a hard time with this and he needs to be there for them.

Its one thing to be incensitive about AH not playing well, practicing, or not performing but to be incensitive about having a death in the family is just not right.
