I have a good feeling about the Colts game, slightly worried that Forte will run all over us and hope we exact serious revenge on the Lions
Colts can definitely be had. And really it's not about keep Peyton Manning from tossing the ball for three or four hundred yards, let's just keep them out of the end zone like we've been doing. But they definitely have some holes in the secondary with Bullit and Sanders (cut) gone for the year. |

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
Colts is a tough game only because Payton is on the field. I don't see us winning this game. Bears suck balls...everyone is on their dck. We can beat them. Lions just mauled the Rams. I fear them a lot only because the Redskins have propensity to have let down games against so-so teams.
I'm fairly certain Walter won't be on the field. A few weeks ago, I was scared about the schedule coming up...the Packers, Colts and Bears stretch. We manhandled the Packers, look at their injury report, and won. The Colts are looking uncharacteristically beatable. They lost to the Jags and have not looked very convincing in their wins. They're beat up worse than the Packers coming into the Skins game...Addai and his backup Donald Brown could miss the game, leaving Mike Hart to start. Even if Addai goes, he'll be limited. Their defense is missing a lot of key players, mainly in the secondary that is as beat up as Green Bay's. Chicago went from looking like world-beaters to...well, what we expected from them. Cutler started to come back down to Earth, then was injured. Their running game is effective, but their passing game is nonexistent with Collins in and feast-or-famine with Cutler in, with more famines due. They're one dimensional. Only their defense has been effective. Scoring 13 points could beat them. The Lions won't beat us this year. Yes, they destroyed the Rams that beat us...but we didn't show up that day, plain and simple. I don't think Coach Shanahan will allow that to happen again after that embarrassment. If not for the stupid kicker-icing tactic and the rule (or lack of) allowing it...we'd be 4-1. I expect us to win 2/3 or maybe all 3 of these upcoming games. |

Should playoff contention even be a discussion right now? we have a long way to go, play some real tough teams coming up, seems like everyone and their step sister is some variation of 3-2 or 2-3. JC and protis were being discussed as seaon MVPs a few years ago, lots of football and injuries to come. I dont think a wildcard birth is coming out of the NFC east the way the other divisions are stacking up right now. The Giants have the early lead with winning this division given their no 1 ranked D. doh! now im talkin playoff contention. |

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
We're in first-place. Of course we're contenders.
I'm thrilled about Dallas' implosion too. Some fun facts: The LIONS have scored the most points of any NFC team...126 points. Chargers lead the NFL with 140. Panthers have only 52 points, worst in the NFL. McNabb is 3rd in the NFC in passing behind Brees and Romo. He and Matt Ryan have the FEWEST interceptions thrown of QBs who started every game this year, with just 3 each. Somehow, Vince Young only has 2 to be the best in the NFL, but they're a run-heavy team. Santana is 4th in the NFC in receiving yards, only 1 behind Nicks for 3rd. Cooley is ranked 9th. As we expected with a Shanahan run game, very little or no drop-off with replacement/backup RBs: Portis = 49 rushes for 195 yds, 4.0 average Torain = 41 rushes for 156 yds, 3.8 average Gano is tied for second in FGs made with 11...leaders have 12. Devin Thomas WAS 5th in return average with 28.0/return. Antwaan Randel El is averaging 3.9 yds/punt return for the Steelers, long is 8 yards. Total = 8 returns/31 yds vs. Brandon Banks is 5th in the NFL in punt return yards, despite having only 6 returns. The league leader has 14 returns and another player ahead of him as 11 tries. Total = 6 returns/122 yds LaRon Landry leads the NFL in solo tackles with 41, is second by a single tackle in total tackles (52). Of course we know that Hall, Fletcher and McIntosh are also in the league's top 10. Carlos Rogers is tied for 2nd in the NFL in pass deflections...I guess these include dropped balls. |

You can take every single NFC team and devise a long list of everything they got going wrong with them. I cannot remember a year like this in the NFC. We are mos def in the discussion as a playoff contender...along with everyone else in the NFC. Our greatest weakness now? Running game easily. Our greatest strength, maybe not a position, but we are physical and we are learning how to win tough, ugly, close games which in our conference right now is HUGE. To have Atlanta right now as the top team in our conference is great news. |

I've grown out of the week-to-week and "be happy" mantras that supposedly mark the sign of "good fanhood". Our lines still suck. Look at Tennessee, those guys are flying all of the place. It's no freaking wonder Albert was homesick for the whole offseason. Look at the Jets, they can go single coverage and do all out blitzes because they've got all the pieces in their entire D. We, on the other hand, have Rak and Inconsistent Albert as our only two intimidating linemen. Our corners are solid but these guys make playing zone look incredibly difficult. We do not have the running game when we face defenses with great lines. We've ran very well against 4-3 lines that are undersized or lacking in talent, but we've been stonewalled against stacked [3-4] lines. McNabb's going to be in a body bag by the end of the year if he has to keeping on passing 40+ times every freaking week. We're maybe about 15th in the league, AT BEST. |

I don't think anybody would have guessed he would be rocking a 8-0 TD to INT ratio. |
Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
I think McNabb is doing very well, I just really wish he'd stop missing those easy throws. I'm sure this will improve, and I think it has been improving, it's just that some of those early throws in the GB were ugly.
Still, McNabb is almost carrying this offense and has put up huge numbers. |

I'm sure they'll keep a bit mum about this (a la Belichick) but McNabb is banged up. Let's hope the line can keep Freeney and Mathis away from him this weekend. |

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
It's funny that Rodgers sucks now to people, since the Redskins beat them...lol
KFFL message boards has a Rodgers thread that starts off about how awesome he is and that he will be better than brett at the beginning of the 1st few pages and then on the last couple pages after we beat them...he all of a sudden is a choker, can't win the big game,etc,etc,etc..lol Either fans are so fickle or we truly are looked at as a joke of this league. Maybe both? I hope we win the whole damn thing in Texas Stadium... |
Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
Along the same lines, I find it amusing how the teams we have beaten this season were SB contenders if not already annoited. We play them, sneak out with the win and leave half their staff in the hospital.
NEXT DAY the media.....WHO, WHAT....Oh no, they suck.....now Except for Colin Smootsmack of course |

Give me a QB that throws 10 passes...5 in the dirt....3 for 35 yards...1 for 25 and 1 for 55 yards for a TD Over a guy That throws 10 passes....2 for 3 yards...2 for 7 yards....2 over the head on long incompletions....and 4 for 11 yards and 0 TD's any day Because that is what McNabb VS Campbell was... Facts: Campbell never makes and completes that throw to Armstrong in the packer game for a TD. Campbell MOST likely overthrows Armstrong in the long pass against the Eagles when Armstrong went out of boundsI I have no doubt in my mind, that if jason campbell was out QB at this very moment....We MIGHT have 1 win...Maybe... MAYBE against the eagles.. MAYBE! And the only reason why I say that is because our O-line dominated the D-line of the eagles in rushing and pass protection. Perhaps Campbell doesn't suck so bad, that he prevents the redskins from losing..But then again...he never makes that bomb to Armstrong and we just checkdown against them the whole game. |

Agree... I've been screaming at the TV for about 4 to 5 years,so it might take me a while to get over it... But Campbell didn't just cost us bad games...he never had to earn his job here as the Redskins QB and he cost us 2 coaching changes and continued revolving door changeover... Brunell took us to the Playoffs in 05'..Sucky Collins (see bears) took us on a 4 game winning streak to the playoffs in 07'. And them two came & went, while JC remained here with continued failure and no accountibility and it cost Zorns Job. One has to wonder how good we are as a team,if Zorn has anyone ELSE at QB? MY God...he brought us to 6-2 without any help or props to Campbell during that tenure in 08'. All because of our running game. Campbell managed to suck so bad...that he won 2 out of the next 8 games, once teams started to stack the box. Yet,campbell's checkdowns and NON-aggressive play and reasonable QB rating prevented Zorn from pulling campbell and us enduring another year of that worthless piece of crap. Costing this good team another non playoff season and a Head coach after being here for 2 seasons. Campbell sucks and is a team and coach killer... He sucked so bad...Our very own Hunter the Punter was a better QB. But I'll be over it,when we make the Playoffs this season! :):) |
