Don't you get a "World at War" feel from some of the maps? I swear they just ported some of the buildings over from WaW into Black Ops.

I am talking to a friend right now, and he is saying the matchmaking and in game spawning is really terrible. I think I will buy it anyways.

I kind of agree with what mredskins said. Halo does require more skill but I enjoy COD more.

I enjoy COD as well but in Halo you must beat the shield then the player, so you can't just run around and knock off who ever with a couple of shots.

I just think Bungie makes a hell of a multiplayer game.

I really employ everyone to give it a shot it will be a painful learning cover but once you get it their are some fun games to be had.

To me COD is turning into Madden where they have to push one out every year in hopes of huge revenue, which I can't blame them, but game quality suffers.

Reach was a couple year project with even a test beta so they could get it right.

Spawning is definitely an issue they'll have to patch. It's really annoying when you have a good spot you're holding down and people start spawning in around you, bumping into you, etc. And of course spawn camping can be an issue.

As far as the matchmaking, probably just their servers getting hammered with so many people on more than anything.

How do you feel about it? I didn't mind MW2, but the one thing that did piss me off was the whole knife crap. Where I could be unloading on you and you could knife me.

Also disliked the whole shooting you in the foot killed you faster than you shooting someone in the face.

Have those things been worked on or still there?

I haven't noticed any of those issues. What I do like about this one is if you're getting hit, it's much harder to aim as your gun will jump. So there's not as much BS where you get the jump on someone and they somehow manage to still kill you first. Remember this game is from Treyarch, not Infinity Ward who did both Modern Warfare games, so think more along the lines of an improved version of World at War.

Medal of honor is more realistic and in my mind, better.

However, as the gamestop minions said to me yesterday "more realistic doesn't always make for a better video game". That statement could be true but to each own. I will stick to Medal of Honor and Operation Flashpoint.

You guys enjoy your tactic less fun and gun.

All I know is I gave some guys a good 30-12 in Free-For-All. Don't remember the name of the map but the one in the snow. Kinda boosted because that doesn't usually happen.

Wow, to each his own but I thought MOH was horrible and a total COD ripoff, I played it for a week and sold it back. The game is full of bugs to boot.

There are a ton of bugs with Black Ops too. A lot, especially matchmaking with parties. It's actually really annoying because I love the gameplay and I prefer to play with friends instead of myself, but it takes us 5-10 tries to get in a game.

It's a known bug, and they say they are working on it.

Obviously no game is perfect from a technical point of view. But even MOH's single player was borked.

They released a matchmaking patch yesterday. A noticeable difference.

Spawning is so wack in the game though and they will never fix it.

I like Black Ops and all but if there's one thing I don't like, it's that. When I'm on MP playing objective based games like demolition, headquarters, etc. I'd rather have all the guys on my team working together to secure the objective, and the majority of the time I end up with guys who want to run around and get kills, and that's how I end up losing way more often than I win.

I know this is being nitpicky but I kinda wish COD had destructible environments too. There are spots on maps that are always camped at, and nothing would be better than to see walls destroyed, buildings blown up, and a changing environment that players would have to adapt to.

PS I'm tired of the spawn camping. The in game spawning is horrible too, I'm getting really tired of spawning and then an opponent spawns right behind and kills me right as I'm running away from the spawn point.

Completely agree. I actually think it's inexcusable not to have them at this point. Look at games like Red Faction, Bad Company where you can reduce a building to rubble. It takes away from the realism not to have destructible environments. When i shoot a rocket launcher at a plaster wall, I expect to see some permanent damage.
