Our worrying isn't going to change the outcome. Either we are going to show up or not.

Beyond this whole coaching mess, they have a huge DL and its going to be tough to block as well as we did last week. Tenn is really undersized at the line.

This could def. be a tough game. All those reports we've heard about Vikings players quitting on the field, well you can bet now that Chilly's gone Frazier will have them motivated and ready to play. And Frazier has been a head coaching candidate for at least a couple years now, so you can bet that he won't take this lightly. Things just got a lot harder for us now.
None of these teams was in the conference championship game the season before were they? The vikes are more comparable to dallas' firing of Wade, they have the talent just not the chemistry, leadership, etc. this year. Plus, Rice now has a game under his belt.
Fair point

Our fans need to stop saying "we will crush their ass"/I'm like really?

We have 5 wins
all of them were 6 pt's..or less
2 of those 5 were in Overtime
3 of those 5 were by 3 pt's or less

I'm at the point now, that if the Vikings had hired all the characters from "Idiocracy" and staffed the whole team with them....They would somehow make it a close game against us as well.

"Welcome to the Vikings..I Love you"
"Where's the time machine?" (he's been benched)

We need to get this win,no matter who's coaching or who's the QB.
and I don't care if it's another Overtime victory..
I'll take it.

Wonder if the protection will hold up against that DLine?
... not sure if this is a good or bad thing for us this week.
Bad thing. Leslie Frazier should have been a head coach a long time ago. At the very least he should have been a shoe in for the Buffalo job. We already saw what Garrett has done for the Cowboys so we can only hope that the same thing doesn't happen with us against the Vikings.

I agree, although they said Favre is starting this week, so one can hope he will stay set in his INT ways.

So we have to cover Rice, Harvin and Shiancoe well, and then just load of the box so AP can't run. I hope the Favre makes a couple of bonehead moves.

Screw that, I say we send his ass into retirement for once and for all.

Players tend to kick it up a notch to keep the blame away. It's a tough game to win.

We'll see... I mean I don't think we have played a team this year that gave a bad effort or didn't play hard.. It's the NFL, they're all going to be tough games... I'll admit though, I'd rather this have waited until next week. I'm just glad we're at home...

Could go either way, but with Favre's comments after the game I would lean towards a total collapse. The Packers were their main obstacle to the division crown and the Pack destroyed them. Even Chicago has a big edge over them. Doesn't matter who the QB will be, both are substandard. The Vikings were total idiots for getting rid of Rosenfels. WE get a great pass rush and we should be in good shape.

Uhhhuuuh. Like we always get a great pass rush. O wait....the Mannley duo isn't here...

Re: Brad Childress Fired

We should not get too cocky. Every time a struggling or "bad" team has faced us, they have had a lights out game on the way to giving us a 1st class whooping.

By standards, Favre will throw for 300 yds, 4 TD's. AP will get 150 rushing...

We need to be careful.

Scariest part of this gamer for me will be the opening drive for the both teams. If they come out and start playing well and get their groove back we could be in a for a looooong day. If we can stuff them early they will hopefully lay down and die!

Of course, we will do that and then Tavaris will play lights out in relief...

Re: Brad Childress Fired

Minnesota Vikings scouting report, courtesy of many different game breakdowns:

This game: a really nice chance for our pass rush unit to make a comeback tour. This offensive line of the Vikings is TERRIBLE. Even by Redskins OL standards.

Adrian Peterson is a complete player for the first time in his career. No fumbles yet this year. Chad Greenway is a tight end killer. Jared Allen no longer has elite pass rushing skills -- he will be the weakest rusher Trent Williams will have faced in his career.

Getting Sidney Rice back could be huge for Favre. Favre's biggest problem was that the Minnesota WRs were horrible, which really makes for a disaster scenario for a gun-slinger like Favre. If Rice gets deep to free up Harvin, Favre can still play a little bit. You need to beat the Minnesota WRs up at the line to fully enjoy the effects of the Brett Favre farewell tour. In this way, Peterson is a major problem, because he hasn't been the focal point of their offense, despite being their best player. You can lose track of him if you don't remember he's there before every play.

Minnesota's secondary is horrible. Their defensive line is deep and talented, but has underachieved all year. Percy Harvin is a really good special teamer, but outside of him those units are weak as well.

Re: Brad Childress Fired

I think the Skins play well and win, but I do worry about the Vikes having a Cowboys-like response to Chilly's firing. From what I've read in the past day, all the players for the most part are saying all the right things - "we respect Childress, blah blah blah." But I think everyone knows he lost that locker room weeks ago.

Leslie Frazier has been a head-coach in waiting for a while now (I think he's interviewed for HC jobs like 7 or 8 times). They could really get a spark from him. Sidney Rice is back to go with Percy and AP, and we'll be without half of our secondary again. These guys aren't VY and Nate Washington.

For some reason I have a good feeling about this game for us (doesn't happen often and I have no idea why I feel that way this week), but if Frazier can get this team to play up to it's talent level, we could be in trouble.

Last season's run in the playoffs got Chilly a contract extension from Zygi Wilf. It seems as if Chilly will pocket $6.6M as the buyout for the remainder of his contract - - in addition to the 10 "game checks" he earned for this year. [Note: Coaches are not always paid by the games they are under the employ of the team; that's why I put that in quotation marks...]

Not bad work - - - if you can get it.
