If this team was young, like TB is, had a young QB promising QB, and we were 5-7, I'd be excited. But to be old, below average, with a few less draft picks, an older QB that looks past his prime and seemingly no real plan in place, there really isn't much to get excited about.

I have seen Freeman play a few times (My buddy is a huge Bucs fan and has the ticket) I would say he is a VERY good young quarterback, but being a young QB he can be inconsistent from game to game. The real problem with him, from our standpoint, is that he gets better in the 4th quarter and in big moments.

To put it another way I would trade McNabb for him in .05 seconds!

We always have problems w/mobile QBs it seems for the last 10 years or more. I know all defenses could say that, but I just remember qb's beating us w/a couple big runs or throwing on the run too often.

For once, I think Lavar may have made a good point in his blog - he said he expects haslett to bring some pressure, cause it's been a while & he's got little to lose. The tampa wr's aren't great either, correct me if I'm wrong. Our front 7 hasn't been able to generate much pass rush lately, so I look to see Doughty & an occassional cb blitz.

It's snowing here now, maybe it will last through the weekend and serve as the 13th man against a team accustomed to the warmth. I expect this game to follow the all too familiar pattern of resembling the last one. Would like to see serious effort and preparedness.

Thanks for shedding light on this important thread. I guess since I didnt understand the point of it I must be the flip flop wearer. It is better to have worn a flip flop than rally the troops with a zero purpose thread than to have never worn a flip flop at all.:spank:

Hell Favre ran on us with a broken foot that was I think our lowest moment this year as a D.

I honestly hope we win the game because for 3 hours every week I get to turn everything off around me the stress of everyday living and just relax and watch my boys play and it is a much needed 3 hours believe me.

Jarmon is already on the 53(52)-man roster, they are just saying he may be one of the 45 active. There still is a question of who the 53rd man will be. Although it would be a cost saving move I suppose to only have a 52 -man roster on Sunday. Don't know what it matters whether you name 7 or 8 men inactive Sunday afternoon.

I hope we can get Jarmon on the field he had some hype in that SUB. draft a few years ago I hope it pans out, I just cant stand to see another V.Cerratto death blow again. It will take some time to get over our last decade.

I'm starting to get pumped for this week's game. I just woke up after having a dream that the Redskins were beating Tampa Bay 53-3 in the fourth quarter, thanks in large part to our running game and punt/kickoff returns by Banks and Austin. So I'm gonna pull an Ace and put that down as my prediction.
