Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Yeah it wouldn't be a bad move to allow him to continue trying out the FS position. Champ Bailey might be an idea too depending how his tackling is.. haven't watched Denver at all really this year.
Think it would be possible for a Barnes / Landry combo? God knows Barnes HAS to be an upgrade over Doughty. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Maybe Barnes can go on the L. Landry weight lifting plan, and gain about 20 pounds. He could play safety for us lol..
He's playing really good today
Or 'Roids. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Barnes has looked good the last 2 weeks, especially today and playing S instead of CB.

Probably gonna be a slow offseason here on the board.

Being a corner, he sure can at least cover better. |

Well I'd like to have him as a FS instead of Moore. Doughty is a back up SS and that's it. It'd be nice to have Barnes develop into a true FS with good coverage skills. I think he tackles pretty well. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Owie.. I dislocated my knee my freshamn year of High School. Hurts like hell!!!!
OKay Sexy Rexy... Show us something here! |

Doughty reminds me of good ol' Archuleta. |

It looks like that might work. I want to see Barnes challenged on picking up routes deep; haven't finished the Jags game yet with how work has been this week. He seems to know where to be and if he could arrive there a bit earlier he could really make some more plays rather than just stops at the point of impact. Part of that will be more experience at the position and more studying of the role. Of course with our offseason CB situation(s) he may be forced back into one of those roles, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. We're going to have to replace at least one S and CB |
Doughty reminds me of good ol' Archuleta.
Yeah but Doughty is an actual back up/special teams player and we didn't play an arm and a leg for him. |

Unfortunately he can be. By injury... :( |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
We should bring in Champ for a year or 2 at free safety IF he doesnt demand huge money. Db - Barnes, FS - Bailey, SS - Landry, Db - Hall i like a lot more as a starting unit than what we have now. Let Westbrook be a backup db and draft a db or 2 to develop some young depth.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
GANO BLOWS. Good God. You're not gonna have a job next year buddy.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Can we bring back the Gano must Go thread?!
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
**** you gano
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Once again, if we have such a low scoring offense, why doesn't this team invest in a kicker?
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Uh oh.. GUH NOOOOOOO
Anything shorter then 3 yards we just need to go for it. |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Ok I understand he's young, but you can't miss those that f*cker need to go.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Oof!

Yeah that's for sure. Guy needs to put on a bit more muscle too. |

But we can't let him gooooo! He's gonna be the next Akers!!! :pffff: |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
**** Gano. He's cost us Houston, Tampa, and maybe this one. That's THREE ****ing games.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
No but gtripp says he's great. So he has to be good. Sign him to an extension.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Our interior O-Line getting blown up again on a 3rd and short. Absolutely embarrassing. Do they have any self pride? Nice kick f*ck face.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
You're running the ball all over them.. Why not run the PA on 3rd and 1? It's like we call the obvious plays on the key situations...
We always blitz on 3rd down, and always run on short yardage, and never run from the Shotgun formation |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
So...
.... What's Nick Novak doing lately? :D |
Once again, if we have such a low scoring offense, why doesn't this team invest in a kicker?
Because all the good kickers get locked up to long term extensions and you saw how we faired with the last time we spent a draft pick on a kicker... |
Ok I understand he's young, but you can't miss those that f*cker need to go.
WTF!!!! The Lions signed a backup FG kicker and he has done better than Gano! Is Chip still around?:cheeky-sm |
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
I was willing to give Gano some growing pains, but JEEZUS.
|
Re: Giants v. Redskins Gameday Thread
Hey Fox, how 'bout giving us an update when either GB or Chicago scores?
|
No but gtripp says he's great. So he has to be good. Sign him to an extension.
GTripp didn't realize that he just argued that Gano was just mediocre with his "great on kickoffs, sucks at scoring" argument, similar to his defenses of JC17. |

Gtripp said we need to return Portis too. That's nothing against Tripp, he's clearly one of the brighter minds here. But I'm not sure either one is necessary. |
