I have the NCAA 12 demo on the PS3. Just haven't found the time to play it yet. I usually skip every other year in Madden. This is my year to buy the new game. I might download that demo too and make sure it's what I'm willing to throw $60+ down for.

havent played a min of video games since i stopped doing what gandolf and that hobbit guy were doing in the first lord of the rings movie in the begginging where the hobbit blew a smoke ring then gandolf the wizard blew a smoke ship throught the smoke ring . . . i used to play about an hour a day on work nights then a good 3 hours every sat and sunday morning. miss those days, this will probably be the first time since madden came out that i wont buy the new version . . really sucks.

its too bad they ditched the pc... i still have 2008, it's been modded quite a bit and the roster updates are accurate, on time, and fair, more or less.

Anyone else get the early release of Madden 12?

It's definitely a good game, and not just a roster update. Franchise mode has been totally revamped.

I got it and tried to update my roster, but it wouldn't update, saying that I don't have the proper membership. I thought I had Xbox live when I put in that EA sports pass that came with it?

Good review. Definitely agree the in game commentary is horrible. Easily the worst in any sports game out there.

ok i have been playing my demo. My son (3) loves to play it he only uses the joystick on the left and pushes the A button. He loses most games by a few points but he actually one a game last night.Pretty sad if you ask me speaks volumes to how much of the game is simulated vs. what the actually user does.

Well yeah, if you don't take control of a guy the computer plays it for you basically, and of course the computer plays the other 10 guys around you that you're not controlling.

He controls the guy just has him run forward, when passes he just throws to the A receiver. Mind you it is on the default demo setting but still you have to admit if a 3 year can win this game it ain't all that.

Defense is a real joke that is nearly completely simulated.


[I][B]AND[/B][/I] he always spots the computer 2 points because his first series he always pushes back on the joystick thus giving up a safety and I have to remind him to push forward for the next time he gets the ball.

I must really suck then, I lost 3 of my first 4 games. The computer is no joke this year, coverage is tighter than ever, DBs jump routes like crazy, and you will pay for making bad passes. No more completing passes with a DB standing right there like nothing is happening. They'll jump the route and pick it off.

Try just mashing the A button frantically and move the joystick all over the place. You be All Madden before you know it. =)

Madden 12 is so much better than 11. I'm loving the presentation and smoother play. Hopefully they've worked out all the gimmicks people run online. There are still a lot of glitches but they are worth overlooking.

Can't wait to have a roster update in a month and have the Skins O-line and Hightower beasting it.

Unless I heard wrong, the roster update is available now, but I believe it is for people who have Xbox Live Gold Memberships. If you just have Xbox Live you, like me, can't get it. Now if you heard that after a month Xbox will let all Live users get an update, then great I'll be looking forward to it too!

I'm down at a friends house in Panther country right now, he bought Madden 12 today and I got to play both a 1 on 1 game with him and a game in franchise mode, and now I'm really tempted to trade in some games and go buy Madden 12. Franchise mode looks totally revamped and good looking, the game feels a lot smoother, the presentation has been stepped up, the in game commentary still sucks but that won't matter since I'll just pop some music on and mute the comm, and overall I'm a lot higher on it than I was at this time yesterday LOL. I don't like that they eliminated the "My Skill" level but that's a minor setback. I'm curious to see what franchise mode feels like, and I really look forward to beasting it up with Kerrigan and Orakpo on D.

I have gold membership and latest roster. What I want is for our o-line's and hightower's rating to go up. I mean, I want to run over people with improved player rating.

The game commentary is my only big gripe with the game. It's easily the worst that's ever been in any sports game.

But they hit on the things that matter. Gameplay & presentation are much improved, and franchise mode is much deeper now, Madden 12 is a big improvement over any previous years. Big.

It is pretty ridiculous. I usually tweak the difficulty ratings to a reasonable level. I like a challenge, but for instance I played against Arizona, and I felt like I was playing the All-Madden defensive team.

Also, why are the first two Redskins games in the rain? It's kinda crazy.

Good ol screen play can't be counted on as a sure thing anymote in All-Pro. I like.

you need to activate the online pass to get the rosters, i believe. Anyone else having a hell of a time running for more than 3-4 yds? Also, can't get off a block with Rak or Kerrigan to save my life.

I seem to be getting the hang of it now. I reset my franchise once I realized updated rosters were available, now 4-1. Playing on All-Pro.

2-0 so far, traded a 4th in 2013 for Colin Kaepernick along with sending a 2nd to KC for Dexter McCluster. Kerrigan has been a monster for me in the first 2 games with 3 sacks.

I had to kick it back down to Pro too. I started out ok, but went downhill all of a sudden. I started throwing 2-3 picks a game. Couldn't run either.

I would recommend adjusting your settings in the "My Madden" menu. Set it to All-Pro, and then under "Player Skills" you can set your ratings a bit more favorable for you (i.e. QB accuracy, pass protection, etc., etc.). I hate playing in the Pro level b/c it is wayyy to easy It's like there's a big difference between Pro (super easy) and All-Pro (very hard). They need an in-between setting.

Yeah I'm gonna have to do that. Pro level is definitely too easy. With some good slider settings you can actually make the game fun yet competitive.

I have been thinking that for years! I will be killing it in Pro like winning by 30 points then switch to all pro and get crushed. It has been this way for many years.

Landry's a monster so far, i've got 3 games in...2 or 3 picks, a couple ff's and countless dropped passes caused by hits.

anyone notice Torain gets hurt every third play???? kinda absurd
