Also, I wasn't really trying to pick on the national media but I guess it came off that way. I recognize that it is difficult to do detailed research on every single team through four preseason games.

Am not posting it for the Skins ranking, but for the fact that the Cowboys [I]lost[/I] and still managed to [I]move up 1[/I] in the rankings and are, of course, still 6 slots higher than us. Rabble rabble rabble rabble. Seriously though, I think they moved up because they looked good for the 3 quarters before the 4th lol. Of course, that doesn't mean anything since the 4th quarter is the penultimate quarter, but I'm sure the writers would disagree with me on that.

They looked good even though they lost, the one that I question is the Jaguars at 15 place.

The Cowboys moving up despite losing is a joke, no matter how they looked for three quarters, especially since the Jets moved up as well. And we win one game and move up nine spots? Sorry, I love our team, but that is also a joke. This is another example of how power rankings are full of billfish.

Holy crap...ESPN has the Giants, the team we just dominated, 2 spots ahead of us.

I'm really beginning to hate this network. I've begun listen to Yahoo Sports Radio a lot in the car over ESPN Radio. Steve Czaban is on in the morning and they do a lot of fantasy talk in the afternoons.

I don't mind Mike and Mike, but the other shows are becoming hard to listen to. I used to like Gottlieb but even he's getting on my nerves lately with Skins bashing.

This looks pretty resonable. ESPN's week 2 is so bad you cant even really comment on it, unless you want to rewrite the entire thing after the number 1 rank.

For Billick's i would switch with Ravens with the Chargers, maybe do a halfway flip the Bears and Stealers, and move the Falcons, Cowboys, Cardinals, Bills and Rams up a little.

I think you could move us back a little if you wanted to too. And i honestly think the cowboys looked A LOT better then i thought they were going to look. The Jets are a great team with a not good to bad QB and overrated coach, but the Cowboys played them well, minus a couple untimely mistakes......

Just to further torpedo power rankings, they've also got the Chiefs 6 spots ahead of the team who just blasted them in their own house. Under the radar works fine for me.

Power Rankings have their place. They're fun to look at, but not much more. Especially week two. I think they're a bit more accurate after 4-5 weeks when we see what teams had one good/bad week, and what teams have sustained a certain level of success. I think that applies to every single NFC East very heavily right now. We looked better than expected. The rest of the league was probably under expectations.

Win and get respect. I don't mean one game. I mean win good games. Beat who you should. Be consistent. The pundits will start to pick us if we prove that we should be picked.

Are you sure? Coulda sworn right after the Packers earned their way to the 6th seed last year the collective power rankings just crowned them Champions so they cancelled the playoffs.

I think there's a lot of seedy shit going on behind the scenes too, did anybody notice how the play clock seemed to speed up on the Cowboys when they were playing the Jets Sunday night? And how the Jets barely had any penalties? It's almost like the league wanted the Jets to win.

Dallas moving up 1 spot after their loss?
Miami (22) going toe to toe with the Patriots who are #3? Miami barely lost the game. One more turn with the ball and they would have had similar numbers in yardage Patriots had 516 or something and Miami had 417, basically 100 yrds difference.

Clearly power polls are designed with favorites in mind.
