Anderson has future job prospects in mind because of what SS said, he can continue to be active on game day long past the day when he is no longer a viable third receiver. Ray Brown/Sean Locklear types aside, when a vet OL is no longer good enough to start given 160 positions on the OL weekly in the NFL, I think he's more likely to hang it up than the David Anderson type is.

Yeah, I agree about the mediocrity part. But what the hey. At least we are trying to upgrade. Rebuilding requires such constant turnover.

Maybe by some miracle Balmer will wake up and become a stud NT for us.

Speaking of unmotivated Haynesworth like attitude, SF got rid of Balmer for a reason. I hope he has learned his lesson unlike Haynesworth and realizes this is his last chance in the NFL.

As I recall Balmer is on the small side, 300 -310 or so? He seems more likely as a DE than a NT.

Also, anyone seen how cullen jenkins is stinkin it up there in Philly? The NFL is truly hit or miss. Usually, if players get to free agency, they are there for a reason. Better to draft em and get them young.
