Green Bay is lucky as hell too. Going from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers. Yet, we get the Heath Shulers, Patrick Ramsey, and Jason Campbells. :madani:

Well the Colts situation happened because of Manning's injury. If he doesn't get injured, it'd be some perennial loser (like us) that would be in the Luck sweepstakes right now, instead of the Colts.

Given your built-in guarantee, heck yeah I would do that. That would make us much more competitive until 2015 and we would have that window of time to develop a younger long-term starter.

I'm not sure that the guarantee is realistic but that is a separate question.

Please note that Rodgers stood on the sidelines and "studied" the NFL game for more than a little while so that he was a lot more than a rookie who had only seen college defensive units on the field. There is value in drafting a QB and having him do an "apprenticeship"...

So with him do we plan on him trying out at the slot? I remember during the draft when McShay said he could be a real sleeper kinda like Emmanuel Sanders of Pittsburgh. Just wondering if we had any intention of trying him out.
