Can we ban anyone that doesn't support RG3?

Re: RGIII declares for NFL draft
Does anyone think RGIII will be available at pick #6 or #7?
Does anyone think RGIII will be available at pick #6 or #7?
Unfortunately I don't. People are gonna be trading away the whole farm to move up for that guy, us included possibly. |
Re: RGIII declares for NFL draft
Plenty of different types of QB have won superbowls, to include 'athletic' or 'scrambling' QBs; just like many different types of QBs failed to win superbowls to include pocket passers.
Second, Mike Vick has always been a gifted passer, his decision making and knowledge of the passing game was horrendous. He's just now become a better decision maker. When you refer to RGIII as a version of Vick, you're paying RGIII a huge compliment. (remember: Vick was the unquestioned No.1 pick in his draft class) I agree college numbers are misleading, and all college QBs will have to make the adjustment passing into smaller windows in the NFL. What about RGIII's accuracy aren't you sure about?
Honest question without an edge: Do you think that RGIII has a windup in his mechanics which may compromise his effectiveness in the NFL? |
Re: RGIII declares for NFL draft
Then answer his question asking "What exactly was I wrong about" first. Talk about irrelevancy. "You was wrong about RG3 and I was right" is a great facts based rebuttal to his question. And then you tell him he's irrelevant? I love hypocrites.... PS, your grammar is atrocious.
And since you don't object to any criticism as long as it's valid, and my points are all valid, there is no objection, correct? Do you agree or disagree? Answer that question before you just to another irrelevant subject.
A statement was made about RG3's accuracy. No matter if you're judging a guy based on completion percentage or ball placement he's still an extremely accurate passer. That's not an opinion, it's a fact. That is what the whole debated was about. He made the debate about me defending RG3 while ignoring my point. What's atrocious is your football IQ. Why don't you take GM's c0ck out of your mouth and let him speak for himself. |
Re: RGIII declares for NFL draft
If Cam Newton can do it, Griffin III can do it too. He could stay for his senior season but why risk his stock when there's no guarantee that he'll be sizzling hot like he is at the present. It's better for him to turn pro. And I'm not saying this because the Redskins need his services. What I am saying? Of course I am!
First of all, do not delude yourself into thinking RGIII is Cam Newton. IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE. See best freak athlete on the field vs great athlete, but not even as great an athlete as say an over 30 Vick, with less experience, not as great skills (feel free to include any and all you would like), and less of a chance to be great because of said deficiencies than Vick in his career. Mark it down, and please feel free to browse through my past posts about such gems as Jimmy Claussen, Jamarcus Russell, etc predraft. Don't feed into the hype.. |
You was wrong about RG3 and I was right. For the record, I don't object to any criticism as long as it's valid. To say that RG3 isn't a accurate passer if false. Anyone who watches college football know what I'm saying is the truth. Do you agree or disagree? Answer that question before you just to another irrelevant subject.
First of all, huh? I was wrong? "You just to another irrelevant subject." ??? Second, I never said I thought RGIII was a bad player. I just said there were other QB's I liked better than him in the first round, particularly Matt Barkley. If Barkley hadn't stayed in school, I'd still feel that way. So I disagree with the way you anoint RGIII. You still haven't said what I was wrong about. RGIII hasn't even been drafted yet, so you really can't say I was wrong about anything. |

Barkley screwed this draft for us by going back to school, I wish he would change his mind :(
Honest question without an edge: Do you think that RGIII has a windup in his mechanics which may compromise his effectiveness in the NFL?
Nah, I don't think so.
I think he's done a good job of tightening up his mechanics from last year (2010) His motion has improved from the carriage of the ball to reducing the windup or specifically to my eye: he would drop his throwing arm down before starting his setting/cocking to throw which creates wasted motion. I still think Griffin has a 'bigger' then ideal throwing motion.(I also think Luck's is bigger then ideal.) Assuming we can agree that QBs like: Vick, Rodgers, Peyton have 'ideal' throwing motions because their compact, tight with little to no wasted movement. However both prospects can release the ball quickly and are consistent and repeatable in their mechanics. Griff can also vary his throwing platform and arm angle and still deliver an accurate pass. His throwing motion isn't an issue for me. |

One of those times I wish the lockout was this year. Would be much easier to go into the draft see if you can get RG3 and if not pick up Flynn as a consolation prize after. Right now our options are as follows. A. Trade up for RGIII B. Hope that a talent like Blackmon (WR OKST) falls to us and keep our second round pick. Sign Matt Flynn to be the QB. C. Same as B except use the 2nd round pick to pick Foles or Tannenhill. D. Trade back and get one of the second tier QB's. |
Bottom Line Landry44, you have a tendency to post on here (particularly those who don't agree with you) as if you're god's gift to this forum. If not, then you gotta change your tone
You obviously don't watch this forum if you feel that way. :D
Do you always ask loaded, rhetorical questions?
So what type of person are you. The type kill a world renowned cancer researcher with a family or eat a baby? |

That team desperately needs to get Bradford some playmakers, and Blackmon is NFL ready. Dude is a total monster. I'd LOVE to have him in the B&G. |

We Shouldn't Have To Trade Up. The Colts Taking Luck Is A Given. The Rams,Vikings,Browns And Jaguars Already Have Young QBs.

we pick ahead of the Jags so dont have to worry about them. the browns and a trade up from the dolphins might be a possibility. |

Not always no. Am I wrong though? His still of play is great as long as he doesn't get lit up and break something, which has been pretty often since he's been on the Eagles. |

Way to stay classy Landry. Cute touch with the 0 in c0ck. Shows you care when you put touches into your work like that. |
Re: RGIII declares for NFL draft
Seeing as how both the Vikings and Rams are in the market for a LT it could affect how willing they are to trade down. Both would love Matt Kalil but Martin (OT Stanford) isn't a bad consolation prize. The biggest barrier to us drafting RG3 right now is the Browns with their two first round picks and Holmgren, a master of wheeling and dealing if there as one.

The rumblings from Cleveland are that Colt is not the real McCoy so the Browns may want a QB. Plus someone like the Fins could leapfrog us through a trade. |

I've heard that Fins like Moore and the QB they fancy after Luck is Jones. |

That would be too perfect. For that reason, I don't believe it will happen. It would have been too perfect for Indy to win today so St. Louis could get the 1st pick and trade us either the pick or Bradford, and you see how that worked out... |

Miami is behind us unless they trade up. And I just used them as an example. There are other teams which might wish to jump ahead of us for a QB. |

It assumes that Griff is gonna play the exact same way as Vick. It also assumes that all Vick's injuries have been as a result of his running as opposed to standing in the pocket like this year against ATL getting hit by his own OL Herramans (concussion) or in the pocket against the Cards (ribs). It also dismisses the notion that Vick could just be injury prone which is completely apart from his playing style ala Matt Schaub who only has two 16 games seasons under his belt, must be all that scrambling he does? I get what you're trying to say though. Griff needs to be smarter about not taking unneccesary hits and about how, when and where to run in the NFL. |
You're not sure about RG3's accuracy because you don't watch college football. RG3 is an outstanding passer with great accuracy. No one throws the deep ball with more accuracy than RG3. To say he's just an ok passer if flat out wrong. He's more than just an ok passer.
PaT Shurmur was talking very highly of RG3 the other day.. JS

A couple of rumors I've heard from a Browns scout. 1) Shurmur may not last to next season. Though personally I think he stays. And, more interestingly, 2) They could make a play for Jason Campbell

You want bunch some panties on this form say RG III is any less then the greatest QB ever. I swear 30gut and Landry44 are his parents.

The more I think about it, the more this makes sense. I would do this and only if RGIII is gone by the time the skins draft. Then go for a CB, QB, C, WR, S, LB, etc. |

Yup. Been saying that for a while. Though I think it's just as likely we keep our first pick and then use our 2nd rounder and maybe a 2013 pick to move up into the mid first round. Most likely for Tannehill |

Jones or Tannehill? Who's better? I personally think Jones but only because I've seen him play a bunch |
