Honestly, I really don't see the big deal here. Looks like PFT is just looking for a story that is not there. That said, Flacco looked like a rookie out there and needs to step it up, esp facing a defense that has let QBs pass for a ton of yards.

I'm rooting for them, but for no other reason than they have 6 SB Titles. The "Steeler Nation" trump card; gone.

totally agree, what you said is basically the same thing reed said, or at least thats what i heard. and i think flacco is capable exploiting the pats d, especially if torry smith has a good game. i don't think flacco can hang with brady but if his d helps him out he can do enough to win.

In the AFC Title Game, I like the Ravens. They haven't been in the Super Bowl in 12 years. Plus New England's defense is horrible.

Ravens 17
Patriots 10

In the NFC Championship Game, I'd have to give the edge to San Fran. This will be a defensive battle no doubt about it. But since the 49ers beat the Giants this season, they will do so again.

Giants 14
49ers 27

Who do I want in the Super Bowl?
Ravens and 49ers, with the Ravens winning one for Ed Reed, Suggs, and Boldin

Who will be in the Super Bowl?
NE and NY

The Packers only scored 20 and 14 of those were off lousy calls by the refs. You really think San Fran can score 27 on the Giants D? This is not the same D the Redskins beat a few weeks ago. Tuck and Osi are healthy, the DLine is getting a rush and because they can get pressure, the DBacks are playing more aggressive coverage. Not giving the opposing receivers those pockets to find space between the backers and secondary.

I think it is going to be very similar to the 90 Championship Game.

I agree, in fact I think this one could get ugly.

NY's defense is much better than NO, especially the pass rush. Plus I don't think Alex Smith can duplicate last week's performance when he had the game of his life.

This game will mostly be a defensive battle. I never said that the 49ers would score 27 points on the Giants defense. San Francisco's offense will score 14, with their smothering 3-4 defense scoring the other 13 to top the Giants. Eli is playing well right now, but Big Blue is going up against a franchise that hasn't been in a NFC champion game in 17 years. That's a big deal. The 49ers will be the last team standing in the NFC.

Allowing a sack on a 3 man rush is inexcusable. They both (flacco and OL) need to step it up.

If Flacco doesn't mess that throw up and hits Smith in stride, that's a TD.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship Game Thread

Yeah, but that´s the thing.

Rodgers makes it a TD.
Flacco a deep 1st Down.
Rexy makes it a pick.

So... even though you´d love to have Rodgers you´re happy to not have Rex.

Yup. Can't be allowing 10 yard runs multiple times on a drive.

Also, the Ravens are lucky that Ray Rice got them that first down.

The Ravens defense needs to stay key and fill their holes. That last Patriot drive got them off balance. The pass rush needs to step up.
