Re: Tebow a Jet
As I had understood it this morning, the Rams were serious contenders for him until they hit this snag with his contract. So I'm not sure what would change for them between then and now

Re: Tebow a Jet
I feel sorry for the Jet fans. I'm glad that circus didn't come to Washington.

haha sorry for being under 25, and i read way more than i post. just not a fan of tebow, hes not good to me, people just like the guy and its all espn talks about. im over it. Demeco Ryans deserves his own thread if Mr. Tebow does, Unfortuneatly Ryans will be affecting us way more than tebow, hes much more relevant to us. |

Will be surprised if he doesn't in Jax

Tim Tebow is being allowed to pick the team he wants to go to. He picks the trade. Jets or Jacksonville. |
Re: Tebow a Jet
Please choose the Jets
|
Re: Tebow a Jet
Tebow's obviously going to choose Jacksonville. He is immensley popular in florida, as others have pointed out, plus he gets a good chance at starting and the owner is enamoured with him. They would probably appreciate him much more than the Jets. I mean Rex Ryan and Tebow are like polar opposites...

Re: Tebow a Jet
Please go to Jacksonville.
|
Re: Tebow a Jet
Go to Jacksonville. I can root for Jacksonville (when it won't negatively effect the Skins).
I hate the Jets. |
Re: Tebow a Jet
He picked the Jets.
|
Re: Tebow a Jet
Sanchez is doomed.
|
Re: Tebow a Jet
Jets are going to be speculation and gossip gold this season. I'm getting excited just posting this thought. :FIREdevil

Hee haw....let the drama commence.

Re: Tebow a Jet
I hope LL is pleased with his new team. There will be in-fighting and they will hate each other and become a laughingstock (again) this year. And LL will be an afterthought to TT.

Re: Tebow a Jet
Hes such a better fit in Jacksonville back in Florida. Dont go to NYJ Teebs..
|
Re: Tebow a Jet
i still don't get the tebow hype
|
Re: Tebow a Jet
Huge mistake for Jets to get Tebow. As soon as Sanchez throws his first dumb pass, the fans will be yelling "Tebow, Tebow". Sanchez will fall apart and Jets will be infighting more than ever.

He's a pretty boy with morals that can run around well enough that we can overlook his poor throwing skills. The end. |

The end.
Not to say that Tebow didn't throw plenty of pathetic passes but a whole bunch of incompletions were just him throwing the ball away to avoid a sack or interception. I believe the coaches told him to throw the ball away if there wasn't a high chance of completion.... they wanted him to play ultra conservative. |

I lol'd. Wait was that a joke? |
Re: Tebow a Jet
it took me a second, but i got it

Re: Tebow a Jet
I'm probably in the minority here, but I think Tebow could end up being a decent QB given the right situation and right coaching. Perhaps never a true #1, but at a minimum a reliable backup. That being said, I don't think that is the situation he is heading into but that was his decision. That locker room will likely blow up by mid-season.
HBO has totally got to put the Jets back on Hard Knocks though
LOL...Tebow to the Jets is like having Snookie from the Jersey Shore play Maria in th Sound of Music.....IT WILL NEVER WORK!!!:laughing2 |
Can't understand the fit here....1st time sanchez struggles the cries for tebow will begin and never stop. Rex and Tebow are polar opposites....I just can't wrap my head around this decision.
It's not if there will be a QB controversy it's when. I mean the media is going to blow up the drama to stratospheric levels. The moment Sanchez throws an incompletion the crowd will be abound with Tebow chants. Rex has really created a shit storm with this one. |
Re: Tebow a Jet
i still don't get the tebow hype
To me it shouldn't be looked at as pure hype, he's been amazingly clutch. Also he has been amazingly bad as a passer at times. I'd still like someone to give him a shot to run a no huddle offense, to see if he can repeat some of his late game success with the similiarly faster pace. |
Re: Tebow a Jet
Tebow's accuracy is horrible. He can run out of the wildcat formation and throw on the run pretty well. Does Tebow drop back and pass the ball well? No. Can he run an option play? Yes. What about Tebow's deep pass? I've seen this guy throw some boneheaded passes into great defensive coverage only to have the ball picked off. His Heisman hype followed him from Florida to the NFL. He's a great athlete but he's full of hype.

I agree with most of what your saying, although I think he still deserves to be given a chance to work on his mechanics and get his throwing to an NFL level. Besides the 4th quarter spectacle he has been worse than mediocre and undeserving of all the hype. The 4th quarter clutch thing is also largely due to his legs not his arm. So yeah, I agree nearly entirely hype, but I could still see him starting in the right situation at least just to see if he can continue to somehow win games. |

I agree. I think he can be a decent starter. I understand Elway not being sold on him, but I also think elway is likely comparing him too much to nfl prototypes. He may never have a great throwing motion, but who cares if he gets it done? |

I'm in total agreement with you. The kid has confidence, and he is very athletic. He needs to be paired with a great QB coach who can develop his skills. |

Interesting, perhaps Tebow has a thicker skin than some give him credit for
