Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
What an exciting first day.
- I think SD got a great value pick. They did a good job. Very often I like how the Chargers draft. - Please hire RG3 a stylist. He's going to be the face of our franchise and he comes wearing a hideous suit, with a terrible hair cut. Time to clean him up! - Still hate the primetime format. Really wish we could go back to Sat/Sun. - Loved hearing Goodell get boo'ed. I really wish we'd get rid of him as commish. Worst one in my lifetime. - Feel bad for the 6 guys still stuck in the green room. |

I felt horrible for him sitting in the green room only to go undrafted. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Obviously RGIII is a supreme talent and undoubtly the most hyped player we have drafted in forever.
I was thinking Dallas's move for clairborne was huge. I honestly didn't like seeing it, as if he is as good as advertised their D just got a good bit better. The Eagles getting Cox was huge too. The weakness last year was running up the middle. Now with him there, Cole and Babin coming from the outside, looks pretty formatable. Giants????? I know they lost Jacobs, but didn't see this pick coming. The kids has exceptional speed, but was really surprised by the pick. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Not to be Captain obvious, but the NFC EAST is going to be brutally competitive next year.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
i'm glad the giants got a small rb, i feel like we can knock him out of the game if the price is right
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
first cowboy fan came by and told me "oh my god, who made the biggest splash last night?" blah blah blah blah...talking superbowl already

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
I have 11 players with first round grades still around on day two.
If two thirds of those players go in the second round, then there might still be 3 or 4 of my most highly graded players when the Redskins pick in round three. |

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
So far this is the best draft I can remember. Kudos to the league for fixing the rookie contract issue of yesteryear.
I think rest of the draft should be lively also...but I hope we don't sacrifice anything else going forward...it's tough to watch these teams w/ multiple early round picks!! |

I would fully endorse that plan. CB, OT, and RB for the 3rd and 4th round picks |

im thinking maybe safety though instead of cb, i think tanard jackson will start but along with who? we do need a corner though, our nickel mr. barnes is horrible to me. tough call depends who is out there maybe we get both. |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
CB and Oline that will be the best value. There are a lot of good corners left in this draft and a lot of good linemen. I feel a second round linemen/corner will fall like a good guard, trumane johnson, josh thompson, jenkins there are still plenty available with question marks and one will fall. we shall see what we do.

Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
how high a pick could 3.6, 4.7, and gaffney interest?
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Would love it if Janoris Jenkins is still on the board late in the 2nd or early 3rd.
how high a pick could 3.6, 4.7, and gaffney interest?
gaffney has negligible trade value. we may get a conditional 6th or 7th for him but most likely, we wont get anything and will just cut him |

if he is in the late 2nd, you think we trade our 3rd and one 4th for him? we need a safety still too. theres alot of options it just depends who we are high on, we could trade into the 2nd, trade into the 3rd, trade back in the the 3rd etc |
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Great draft, but can't watch it on ESPN again, Gruden + Berman = unwatchable.
|
Re: 2012 NFL Draft (Day 2)
Do not trade into the second. We do not need less picks we need more.
With a third and two fourths we can still get decent players. |

they were horrible last night. It was more Berman than Gruden, those two didnt mesh |

LAST YEAR: (All started games in 2011 or had impact off bench) Round 3 - Hankerson Round 4 - Helu Round 5 - Paul Round 5 - Gomes Round 6 - Royster Round 7 - Maurice Hurt Round 7 - Marcus White Round 7 - Chris Nield Only Aldrick Robinson and Brandyn Thompson did not have contributions but still made the team. I trust Shanahan and Allen to find contributors in any round, so stocking up with as many picks as we can should be the plan. |
