Anyways, TLC has some kind of obsession with "little people". It's tough to keep all of these shows straight. You're right, it's Little Couple.


The term "little people" sounds demeaning to me...it's implying they're less of a person than a fully-grown adult. However anyone says it, you're going to offend someone...so that's whY don't stress about trying to please everyone, it's impossible. I just say it how it is.

I used to watch that in the past. That wasn't great either. I know the rednecky type shows are getting pretty big now. That one show that has Turtleman in it is really popular, people love imitating that call he makes when he catches a snapping turtle lol.

One I'll NEVER watch is Toddlers and Tieras, that show with the little girls being pushed to be in pageants by their fat mothers who are trying to live their broken dreams through their painted-up daughters.


That show makes me sick...and furious. I'd never let my daughter dress and dance around like that, pageant or not. I'd go as far as calling it child abuse.

It only lasted one season, but Kid Nation. That shit was fantastic. Basically took a bunch of young kids 8-14ish and put them in a town where they had to work/etc and solve all their own problem. Its great seeing an 8 year old after a long day going to the saloon for a root beer.

Stupid lawsuits kept this great show from making a 2nd season!

Thanks to Smoot...I tuned into an episode of Duck Dynasty this weekend when I noticed it on the menu. Honestly never even noticed the show title on the listings before.

I limited myself to one episode so it wouldn't rot my brain, but it was a funny show. This episode was about them repeatedly trying to get the honey out of a beehive in the swamp. Also, their wives got stuck in a scissors lift in the "up" position. My wife asked how those guys got them as wives. It must be a small town...not many men around.

I'll tune in again...cautiously! :D


At least I've learned a life lesson from it...you have to treat bees like you treat women.

Not sure I'd call the Hoarders shows stupid. Disturbing - yes.

Back in the day you just called those people packrats. Kinda scary to look back now and see my grandparents were really hoarders. Not to the extent that you see on these shows, but in the ballpark to a degree.
