lol why is it so bad for Cousins to be the backup? The guy looked decent in pre-season. Maybe not 2nd string decent but... I mean the coaches must be seeing something amazing?

I hope so, if that is the case, that is good news for the Redskins that we have (2) good caliber QB's for years to come. I was just surprised that the coaches would elect to go with (2) rookie QB's. Typically you would see a veteran behind a rookie.

It's actually not, I was saying either the inactive lineup ESPN put out is wrong or all the tv networks are wrong. But I do think it's weird that they are shutting down the experienced vet backup in favor of the 4th round rookie who's never played a regular season NFL game before.

@NC: Hopefully the "can he really be any worse than Rex" argument has been shut down, because we all learned the answer to that question the hard way last year lolol.

He's also a backup safety and he may be helping Haslett on the sidelines calling some defensive plays.

Regardless of what happens today, let us all keep in perspective that RG3 is a rookie and will make mistakes. We all want a win, but mistakes, interceptions, and fumbles will happen. Lets not call for his head on the first game.
I am excited to see what the defense comes up with to stop the Saints.

Agreed, I should have said slow the Saints, not stop. Freaking brees is a great person and QB.

exactly. We have to go after them to have a chance, because with brees' accuracy and his poise, he is the exact type of QB you DONT want playing against a soft umbrella zone. Its going to be interesting.
