Yeah we had a big server crash in 2004, had to start over from scratch.

Weird. I thought I'd been around longer than 2002, I'm sure it feels longer to some on here.

I actually recognize all but a few.

some of these names have been mentioned before, SBF, Hess, JoeCrisp...seem like legends. wish there was a bio about these past members. Was Joecrisp an adversary or troll? he always gets sh*t on.

Only person i see being brought up i remember was Trample, that was a good dude. I remember when he posted against me for handing out money to the homeless. or giving charity or something. lol

Another one that has really died off over the years, the Warpath Cribs section. It used to be very active.

Wasn't there from the get go, but I do remember joining when it was still with yahoo. That feels like ages ago now.

I'd say some of my fondest memories have been the april's fool defecting joke, question 3 will never be forgotten, and in general having thousands of other masochistic people with the unique bond of never being able to stop loving this team no matter how rough the past couple decades have been at times. Even though I don't post as much as I used to when starting off years ago, I still love this site and truly appreciate Matty and everyone who keep it running.

Quake you gotta stop being so disappointed all the time. I don't think I've done anything of note in 7 years here and I'm pretty fine with that fact. Just being able to talk football on a level most people I know don't bother with is fine with me.

Every time I start a thread like that or make a post of the nature I get warned or kick off the site for a week. I do feel making a donation does help a little but not very much.

Hard to believe I have been here for 9 years, I joined sometime during 2003.

The original Chris Wilson thread.

Any number of the debating the enemy threads - before they were debating the enemy. (Ted Nugent Rules)

Meeting various members - jsarno, joecrisp, daseal, jamf, SBF, summo, TMC (Who would not have a beer with me! Yeah, I remember that!).

Still owing SS beer for some bet I lost. Don't remember the bet, just remember I still need to FedEx a six pack to you.

Mostly, I remember when I could come here and not have to worry about my little brother tagging along.

i think my join date is 2004 too. i actually watched a game at SBF's house (the crazy 14-13 miracle win vs dallas). tried to meet cpayne and daseal etc at TC one year, but we just missed each other.

it's weird now when i come back after a game and see like 1000 new posts in the gameday thread. i remember when you could actually go through them. i guess that's what happens when you run a good site.

i remember becoming TAFKATAFKASS's arch enemy for april fools... but i forgot to turn it off, so SS, just know that i still hate you deeply. and you might want to get checked for polonium. grr.

skinsfaninok 09-25-2012 10:32 PM

My join date was 2005 but I didn't start posting much until about 2007-8

LOL. I KNOW! I feel bad about that but I went with my Dad and I promised him years ago that even though I drink, I wouldn't do it around him.

And it was whiskey too, my favorite!

Remember his Patrick Ramsey obsession? Still can recall one of my favorite Warpath lines on that - "We just need to give offiss some alone time with his Patrick Ramsey fathead."

Speaking of Ramsey and Warpath memories. Remember the threads inspired by these great clashes of opinion?
Ramsey v. Brunnell
Ramsey v. Gibbs
Brunnell v. Campbell

and of course, continuing on into infinity, the numerous threads boiling down to the Kool-Aid Drinkers v. the Debbie Downers.

I also remember being upset that, b/c I was away during the great crash of Feb '04 and didn't "rejoin" until March, I didn't have the official stamp of "Old Soldierdom" on the WP. <sigh> Even now it pains me to see it ... Do you still respect me??

Question 3 is still my favorite thread - Joe Gibbs, the Simpsons, Nazis and Pie along with the infinite meaning of life, what could be better than that?

Un-PC as it was, I still miss the Wreck That Chick thread.
