As Andy Reid would say. "I'm not obviously a doctor"

Isn't the whole point of a forum (of any kind) to present an opinion to a group of people who's opinion you could care less about?

The Patriots haven't given an accurate injury report this century. This is much ado about nothing.
No I won't ignore your own ignorance. Instead of being so sure you're the smartest guy in the room you could try to understand something. It isn't your job on anyone else's job to decide what is right for a football player. You equating getting a concussion as anything functionally equivalent to someone like RGIII getting one is laughable. Look it comes down to risk aversion. To you and me getting a concussion ourselves presents a health risk similar to anyone else but along with that comes other indirect risks. You not being able to go to the gym is a small price to pay to offset the health risk. Bob not playing football isn't even close to the same thing. So don't compare them. Should the Drs/team/league look out for him? Absolutely. But part of the metrics they use in determining whether he can play involves his overall well-being, including the non-health related aspects.

And by the way, your opinion on whether he should play is completely useless and pointless. What exactly do you know to think anyone here on anywhere would care about such an opinion?
I think you've made it very clear you have never had a loved one, or even know someone, who's suffered dementia and ultimately alzheimer's. Again, the causality link between concussions and later effects is at issue here, and maybe you haven't paid attention to the controversy surrounding the NFL.

Regardless, your certainty that money, fame and glory somehow makes a risk/reward ratio different shows extreme immaturity at least, and just plain shallowness and lack of character at worst. But you're young and values do change, just as we've observed countless retired players come out and say the damage to their body and brain wasn't worth the career.

Re: NFL mad at Skins

OK, I am not one for conspiracy theories, but I have to say that I find today's $20K fine for the reporting on RGIII's concussion to be astonishing. First of all, as the NFL.com reporting on it makes clear, the "concussion" diagnosis was actually made with only 2-3 minutes left in the game, and thus the Redskins were fined $20K for not correcting the original statement that he was "shaken up" for that short period of time. What nonsense. He wasn't even on the field -- I don't think that anyone was expecting his return in the final minutes.

Moreover, the Bills were fined the same amount, even though they had not accurately reported the Mario Williams wrist injusry for several weeks. At a minimum, one might expect some proportionality here and see a Redskins fine that was smaller than the Bills fine.

It does create the impression that someone is enjoying tweaking our team.

they fine teams $20k for something like this...

they should fine teams at least 53 times what they fine players for infractions of a comparable degree.
