[quote=Dirtbag59;950948]Mortal Kombat, definetely one of those movies thats technically bad but because you saw it when you were in middle school is still considered awesome.

Oh boy, you done did it now SS! Most of the 80's classics are a given, so I'll skip those.

Really bad flicks I can never turn off:

The Room
Troll 2
Enough (Really horrible J-Lo)
Gymkata
Double Team (JCVD + Dennis Rodman, anyone?)
Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie
Side Out & Soul Man (The C. Thomas Howell classics)
Just One of the Guys
The 6th Man
The Smurfs (2011)
Anything from Troma Films
Lifetime movies (Sexting in Surburbia, anyone?)

Flicks I love that critics (and most people) hate:

Sucker Punch
Speed Racer
Belly
Spork
Four Rooms (not to be confused with The Room listed above)
Visitor Q
Crash (Not the Oscar winner, but erotic obsession w/ car crashes version)
Wet Hot American Summer
Sorority Row
The Golden Child
Seed of Chucky

Flicks cinephiles should own, but lose nearly everyone else:

Videodrome
Lost Highway/Eraserhead/Mulholland Drive (Lynch stuff)
Tetsuo: The Iron Man
El Topo/Holy Mountain (trippy Jodorowski)
Bad Taste
Enter The Void

And try as I might, I can't sit through most chick flicks. But I do dig these:

The Princess Bride
Annie Hall
Married to the Mob
Dirty Dancing
Heathers
The Ramen Girl
Thelma & Louise
Desperately Seeking Susan
The Witches of Eastwick
The Secretary
Party Girl

[quote=TheMalcolmConnection;950950]DAMN! Forgot about that one. Is that one a guilty pleasure or just a classic because that was one of those movies that TBS constantly played (that and Breakfast Club).

Also almost forgot!

Hahaha! I have that on dvd, I used to love watching this movie back in the day. So cheesy and yet so good.

Ahnold: Remember when I said I was going to kill you last?
Sully: That's right! You did!
Ahnold: I lied...

Sucker Punch was wonderful I thought. The CGI, the practically all-female cast, I thought it kicked ass. I couldn't figure out why so many people hated it. Because it was chicks running around scantily fighting bad guys? I dunno. I thought the storyline was inception-y and pretty unique. The soundtrack is also worth a listen as well.

p.s. The Room is awesome.

The worst film of all time with a pretty sound cult following. I suggest anyone who is into crappy, D-list (actually F-list) campy films to give it a watch.

Right? I passed on seeing this in the theater because of how bad it got panned- none of my friends who saw it liked it at all. Then when I finally caught the blu-ray, I was blown away. There's one deleted scene in the blu-ray that totally explains the ending- it was a travesty the studio pulled it for the theatrical release.

I think marketing tricked a bunch of fanboys looking for scantily clad chicks kicking butt (which the film provides in spades), but like you said- the story was pretty creative and caught those viewers off guard. It was Zak Snyder's "sucker punch" to those expecting a vapid candy show. Everyone whines about Hollywood retreading ideas and storylines- Snyder creates something original and the same people get mad because it doesn't fit into a traditional narrative. And kudos to the actresses learning how to handle their weapons- I totally bought the action (the German trench warfare scene was insane).

And yeah, the soundtrack is amazing. Loved Bjork over the samurai sequence.
