He proved that the best tacklers on the Vikings are their O-line... |
Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
KS & JH should get a game ball to, I think they both called a good game.

I really wanted their tackle in the third round instead of LeRibeus. I believe his name was Donald Stephenson. I believe he would of been right at home in the ZBS since he has good speed for his size. Dont see how he could be worse than Polumbus. |

Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
Props to Kai Forbath. I made a comment in the gameday thread that whoever on this board said that he would miss his first FG (Whoever posted that, practically guaranteed it) could eat some crow.
His kickoffs leave a bit to be desired, but if he can nail 50+ yard FGs, I can overlook a few short kickoffs. |

The Niles Paul hit on special teams blew me away.
I hope to see that on films for years to come. |

That and the defense keeps scoring TDs. That's four this year? Saw a stat a ways back that we hadn't had three since 91 SB team, I am not hinting that this team will win the Super Bowl. Just keeping things in persceptive when it comes to the d. They aren't great but they score and get turnovers. |

Basically the odds of them returning it all the way are VERY slim. The odds of them maybe fumbling or getting stopped behind the twenty are way higher. I'm sure we'd all be like  if a short kickoff got taken to the house, but overall I like our odds on that. |

My brain is unable to put Niles Paul and Ricky Sanders in the same sentence yet. LOL - yeah he has the speed and physical tools but that is a big if. He looks great on special teams though. |

I am sure the Viikes did their homework after watching last week's game. The Vikes o-line did a good job at containing Kerrigan during those screen passes that he's good at swatting down. |

I think the problem is Haslett doesn't seem to process how quickly other teams can score. If we're up 10+ points in the fourth, he's like "EXCELLENT! Prevent and blitz bitches!" It seems reallllllly obvious that the entire game plan changes when we're up a lot and there is about a quarter left. I'd be OK with that type of play-calling with about 6-8 minutes left in the fourth. That being said, I thought the play-calling most of the game was solid. And total side note, Wilson plays good coverage but we need to get his ass some longer spikes because it always seems like he's falling down at least one time a game. |

Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
Whoever put the poll up should have included "Robert Griffin Jr." who according to Dick Stockton was playing in today's game. LOL.

Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
I hear people bitching about the defense, but who the hell possibly has a problem with our offense? I find myself wondering if RG-3 is making KS look good or vice versa, but I really dont care as long as were putting up 30 a game.

Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
Easily our most complete game so far. The D held strong when it mattered, came up with turnovers, and put up 6. And RG3 was just amazing, once again.

Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
I just want to express my disappointment with Mike and Kyle Shanahan on this victory. Had they only followed Jeff Fischer's blue print of excellent coaching, we would could have walked away with a loss just like him. **** those guys man.

Re: Skins/Vikings post game thread
Imo RG-3 is keeping a lot of jobs safe in Washington. Just sayin........

Our defense did keep the Vikes to three FGs, when they could have easily scored 3 TDs at the beginning of the game. Kinda hard to complaint against that. Had they not done this, the game would have gone away from easy early on. |
