Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I guess I look at it like the world has gone to complete shit and "normal" is out the window, so yeah a guy keeping heads in aquariums or a woman with a samurai sword is completely within the realm of being possible. Believe me shit has only just started to get crazy, and at times the show is tame compared to the comics.

Re: The Walking Dead season 3
what did everyone think of last nights episode? i thought it was kind of "underwhelming" after waiting for 2 months, but they can't all be action packed. next weeks looked awesome. I miss Daryl.
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I really wasn't feeling it last night. I thought it kinda dragged on a bit.
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Agreed. I definitely remember every season having a few episodes like this.
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I liked it. I thought the hour went fast. they are probably building the story line.
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
The governor did not seem inclined to go attack the prison, although his opinion could change. Just seeing clips from next weeks episode, i wonder if the series will continue to follow the same plot line from what i've read of the comics. it looked like they were fighting on some sort of bridge. Also, i dont remember seeing a tank in Woodbury, so i'm not sure how they'd blow up the prison walls anyways.

Blow up the prison walls? That would be a stupid decision if he wants a secure location.

in the show, he has already said he wouldnt want to move the townspeople to the prison - peopble like woodbury b/c it reminds them of a normal life. in the comics, he blew up the prison walls to try and kill everyone. |

I don't think he really cares much about that anymore. He's out for revenge. |

One would think his bloodlust is aimed exclusively at michone. Perhaps he will agree to leave everyone in the prison alone if they give up michone, but Rick refuses? I honestly don't see how Andrea can be siding with the governor over michone. The governor is an obvious psychopath and michone saved her life. She needs to put a bullet in his head |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Sunday's episode was pretty awesome. I thought for sure the prison attack wouldnt come for another week or two and then it happened, completely by surprise. I am a bit bummed the prisoner got murked, as i was starting to like him. and it would have made an interesting subplot with darryl and him competing for carrols affections. i'm pretty tired of meryl though. he needs to get bit in a hurry.
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Yeah the attack on the prison was a surprise. I didn't see it coming til later on either. The zombie bomb the Gov dropped on them was great.

Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I'm just about to start season 3. I read enough spoilers to know what happens in the first episode, so I hate to go back but...
OLD SPOILERS.... Was I the only one who was happy that Shane died in at the end of Season 2? I was hoping for Andrea to die as well but from what I hear she's still alive. Meh. Speaking of Andrea, the women in this show are annoying as hell. Lori got on my nerves bad. |

They had dragged out the whole "love triangle" too long and it was an aggrivating plot line. It would have been nice if they had just had Shane move on and get over it - because i did like that he had a more pragmatic approach as opposed to Ricks "we have to keep our humanity" approach. There really arent any obviously vocal opponents to Ricks way of doing things, which i miss. I understand you not being overly satisfied with the female characters. Maggie has some really nice moments in Season 3. She's cute as a button and she really gets good at killing zombies. In one confrontation they are having a hard time figuring out out to kill a certain group of zombies and she figures out a way and she is so ridiculously happy and proud of herself its awesome. Andrea started out interesting but has gotten pretty much useless as the series has moved on. Never really liked Carol or Ricks wife either. Both just annoy me. |

That governor is a real piece of work. And Rick is really losing it. Glenn's attempts at leadership were funny... well intentioned, but so weak. "Alright we're gonna do this!!! Uhhhh, ok, no, we're gonna do that!!!" |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Last episode made up for the opening episode. Thought it was outstanding, and yes GMScud, we totally agree, Glenn was a total tool.
THAT'S how Walking Dead should be. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I take the women characters comment back. I really like Michonne. And I'm partial to Maggie as well.
Kill the rest of em off. :D |

Not quite. I'm on Season 3 episode 5. 5 more to go. Should be caught up by Friday. |

Pretty awesome you dont have to wait 3 months to see what happens after the mid-season cliffhanger. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I think this episode did a good job of getting a better feel for Michonne, since some people didn't like the fact she only said 3 words per episode (I liked it).
And thank God for an Andrea-less episode. But it looks like her crazy ass is back next week. Getting kinda tired of her ish. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Great episode.

Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Very good episode. I like how Carl was able to do what Morgan's son couldnt - kill his mother. Carl is a total bad-a$$ little kid. I do wish Morgan had gone with them to the prison... maybe he'll come in and save the day later on somehow. Next weeks episode looks awesome. very excited.
|
I got the impression that Morgan is too far gone and that's the last we'll see of him. But at least Rick is back to normal, normal as can be of course. Can't wait for the showdown with the Gov.

Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I think it was funny that it took two people to carry a Pack and Play!
I think it was funny that it took two people to carry a Pack and Play!
I thought it was filled with other stuff, but I could be wrong.
Overall, I loved this episode. I thought the guy who played Morgan (Lennie James) was outstanding. Hopefully this episode will take care of some of Rick's craziness and he'll be able to focus on being a better leader. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
I think Rick is back now. I think seeing how nuts Morgan turned helped him realize that he's not so bad off.

(Morgan might be back, too: Lennie James has an IMDb credit in the season finale, and creator Robert Kirkman told us, "He's a tremendous actor, and every time he appears on this show they end up being our best episodes. If he were to show up in the finale that would be pretty awesome in my book!" High praise from the dude who literally did write the book.) |

Possible spoiler alert!!! I heard Glenn dies. I'm not sure if that is true or what not, or if it even happens this season. But boy would that change the dynamic of the group. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Spoiler: more people are gonna die!
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Spoiler: more people are gonna die!
please let andrea be one of them. And rick be another. I'm tired of them both. The only characters i absolutely dont want to die are Glenn, Maggie, and Dale, and Carl. Theyre the only characters i remotely care about. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Rick is basically the central character, he's not going anywhere.
|
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
And Dale's been dead for awhile, although you probably mean Daryl.
I actually like Rick too, I just wish he was a little more consistent. |
Rick is basically the central character, he's not going anywhere.
He has been, but this is a show thats proven its not afraid to kill off its central characters. I dont think its likely to happen, but its not as outrageous as it would be to kill off the main character on a different kind of show. |

If the show did kill off Rick, who would be the new central character? Carl? |

Lets just say if Rick was killed off people probably still watch; where as if Magnum was killed off on Magnum PI well you have a problem. |
Re: The Walking Dead season 3
Unless the show plans on taking a really drastic turn from the books, Rick is one of the few characters I would call a sure thing to stick around.

I agree with you that its highly unlikely, i just wouldnt rule it out.
If the show did kill off Rick, who would be the new central character? Carl?
Although he's the leader of the group, Risk hasnt been the "main character" at all in Season 3. Seasons 1 and two focused extensively on Rick and his family. Season 3 has been more of an ensemble cast, with no one really standing out too far ahead of anyone else. |

My predictions... Morgan (he'll be back to die later on), Andrea (I wish) maaaybe Tyrese's crew or someone in it? They'll be back for sure since his father and son buddies seemed overeager to sell out the prison gang. |
