Bengals Steelers is a divisional game and may not be the best barometer for what to expect from the Steelers. I don't see why we can't put up points like the Titans and Raiders did. We're top 5 in scoring and should expect to move the ball on anyone.

Correct. Turnovers are a direct result of bad play calling;)

You're right. It not Haslett's fault. The fact that the secondary didn't play last year like this and had improved from 2010 to 2011 speaks volumes. Then Slowik leaves and the Redskins hires Raheem Morris as defensive backs coach and then all of a sudden the defensive backs can't defend the pass worth a damn.

True, but it has been more high risk than any reward. The picks by this D are nice, but they just fall apart in the 4th quarter.

I have been one of the many to bitch on this site about the total failure by our D on the Victor Cruz play, but honestly when I think back, the Giants were only down by 3 and could have kicked a FG to tie and force OT. They had over a minute and some Timeouts if I remember. They may have gotten the TD anyway or beat the Skins in OT. Either way, I had no confidence that our Defense could stop them. It was a quick death, but it could have been a slow death as well last week.

I dont think it is out of the question to think that we might lose in Pittsburgh. LOL. Everything he says in his post has complete "possiblitly" written all over it. I think its worth the use of a gameday roster spot. Its improved lately with some pro-bowl nods, but Fletcher has not recieved his due over his exceptional career. Id love him to continue the streak until the day he retires.

I was looking more at the angle of the team offering it up as a way of saying thank you. This is all provided its not something that has him out multiple weeks.
Edit: i know Fletch wouldnt care. But i do remember recently seeing them ask him about the last game he missed and he said they started the game in a particular scheme that kept him on the sideline and he was like wtf? But he laughed about it.

He's seeing a neurologist, which is scary. I don't think he plays, which honestly makes me very sad. He deserves the streak.

On the bright side, our defense cant possibly be worse without him. Its not like we can fall to 33rd in pass defense.

That's just too weird on the balance concerns. Geez, hope it's something totally innocuous like a weird flu or sometimes pain can throw your balance off. :(

I agree with Goat, run defense will suffer. I just don't expect 'Zo to be able to fill in for Fletch. As far as his streak goes, I remember thinking Favre's streak would never end until he retired. But I think at this point in his career, it's not about keeping streaks alive. If he needs a week off to be ready to go for the second half of the season, I'm fine with that. His streak is an amazing accomplishment in and of itself.
