WTF? Its weird enough that he would be carrying that much cash and a passport, but then to say you found it in another bag but didnt actually find it,sounds very fishy Mike Shanahan's Washington Redskins lost their Week 8 meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field, but that wasn't all they lost. Schein: Do or die for Shanahan? Mike Shanahan hasn't won much with the Redskins. Adam Schein wonders if it's now or never for the veteran coach. More ... Shanahan discovered that $3,700 and his passport had been taken from a leather briefcase left in an open locker during the Redskins' 27-12 defeat, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. A security officer told the newspaper that Shanahan was visibly agitated. The coach filed a report with Pittsburgh police, but he later withdrew it when Shanahan, or an aide, called the next day to report the cash and passport found in another bag. Case closed, right? Wrong. The Redskins' director of security dropped a press release Thursday, saying: "Mike Shanahan did have money and a passport stolen out of his locker room in Pittsburgh. The Pittsburgh Police insisted on filing a police report because of the missing passport. There is an ongoing investigation. The missing property was not stowed in another bag as reported." Peering beyond our natural curiosity about Shanahan rolling with $3,700 and a passport, how does someone claim that kind of bounty lost, found -- and lost again? We've dispatched Rosenthal to investigate. |

drug money. Shanny always seemed like the Avon Barksdale of the NFL coaches.

Yeah but I'm saying, we knew a few days after he got ejected that he was being fined, so this isn't really "new" news. |

Bummer! That's his second one, he had his 1st one in the 80's. The company I worked for back then saved his life, they injected him with our miracle drug (TPA) in the emergency room. I'm sure they used again,I hope he recovers quickly. How ironic his pupil Harbaugh is also having minor heart issues. |

They most likely served him the alcohol since they were the same people to let him thru the gate. They are responsible for him at that point. That will be the argument. But, lets wait and see. I could be wrong... |

Most (if not all) people do most of their drinking long before the game even begins. |

Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Yeah. They'll be sued and they may settle to avoid publicity or for any number of reasons unrelated to being legally liable.
My take is, he likely broke the rules by being intoxicated and being disruptive and the Bills were well within their rights to kick him out. (Read the back of your ticket at the next game you go to - all the tiny print says, essentially, "I'll be good and, if I am not, you can kick me out.") |

Exactly. And what about the people that were with him...I imagine he wasn't there alone. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 11
Its weird to see Berman criticize his producer and guys behind the scenes on live TV.
There was a visual on tv on the guys out of the line up for Green Bay, first showing the offense then the defense. I guess the first shot went to fast off screen so he tells the viewers to read the second shot of the defense guys, cause he isnt because the first move so fast. Then ask to someone, why are we in a hurry when its a 3 hour show (which is part of the problem)? smh... |
