I remember when Monty was nothing more then a backup. Now's he's one of the better centers in the NFC.
You should at least let the guy play.
Pretty sure Polumbus has been playing. If thats what we are going to call it. Lol. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
Not sure how Compton can be any worse than Polumbus. Dude was a turnstile.
Thread title says next four "regular season" games. So is that a mistake or like Panda asked - next two and first two of 2013?
Where does it say that in th thread title? Anyhow, it's next four games. Post-season included |
he meant in the original post.
next 4 non-preseason games
Yes. My bad. First post. Actually says next four regular season games. Edit: ss - thats what i figured. Just wishful thinking. Not that Black is all that but we can hardly stand to lose depth especially with Montys injury. Hope he is going to be ok atleast for Dallas. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
Lol -- let's just skip to the end and start our third stringers. Injuries and suspensions have decimated this team
|
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
It seems too many Redskins players are getting caught violating the NFL's policy of enhancing performance narcotics. Will it ever stop? Sooner or later players are going to get tested and possibly busted.

What have you seen to suggest otherwise? Not saying he will, but there's really NO film, um, I don't get your point. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
I wouldn't put it past John Mara to have prompted the league to have everyone on the Skins tested...

:laughing- That's touching, but you'll forgive me if I don't buy their defense. Unless they are with him 24/7, chances are he's doped up. Just because they don't see it, doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I wouldn't be surprised if a good many of the players on this current team(or any NFL team) aren't users at some point in the off-season. (maybe even in-season) Too much money on the line, not to even the playing field and dope. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
It wouldn't be the first time the league has booted someone over a technicality when it comes to "PEDs".

And on top of that it doesn't hurt to have your teammates stand up for you like that. I say it obviously doesn't exonerate him but to have 4 or 5 guys come out and say what they're saying with conviction, at the very least it makes me want to give it a second look. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
Well they seem to know the situation a little better than us so...
Truthfully, they really don't. Something team or football related I might agree, but not with PEDs. It's not like the players are going to juice up or pop any PEDs in the locker room. Haven't any of you learned anything in regards to doping and sports? Geeshh.....so naive. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
Between injuries and this type of BS this team has really seemed to go through some advirsity this year.
and it might just be co-incidental but .... * Team punished for NON-CAP violations * Two players punished for Aderal * Another player punished for substance violation Is it me or does it seem like everytime the Skins start to have something good going either there is an injury or the league/Mara punishes the team some how for whatever reason to hinder our team so his gets an advantage in the division? lol. |

In the imaginative practices I envision in my head, he hasn't done too well. Therefore I think he's going to be a bust. |

Punishment for testing positive for Adderall without a prescription is the same as testing positive for steroids. Yep those two drugs are the same. |

Just a realist. Don't get me wrong, I don't think any less of them for doing so. I would as well if I had millions of dollars on the line. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
His whole unit is standing up for a 3rd stringer that has barely played and was out of the league for a year. No one said a word about TJ or Cedric.
So I don't think it's naïveté at all |

No way to appeal the Black suspension?

Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
No way to appeal the Black suspension?
It's already been appealed. Most of the time when you hear about the suspension, the process (including appeal) has already ran its course. |

Oh it's better then that.... the player can have a prescription but unless the player files the proper paperwork prior to using it and gets the ok from the league then they get punished. Thats what is BS. Aderall for adults helps them focus and one would think thats what the league would want from their players to keep them from getting into trouble off the field. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
Every time we win a big game here comes mara with a suspension....Think he's gonna shit bricks if we win the east?
|
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
This is bullspit! Black actually played decent at RT during the Browns game. I guess we know why.
|
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
Most importantly, Kory Lichtensteigers wife said 2nd string RT Jordan Black would ''never'' take steroids or PEDs because he is ''too great of a guy to do that''...so much relevance
|
I love the leagues policy. Punishment for testing positive for Adderall without a prescription is the same as testing positive for steroids. Yep those two drugs are the same.
Maybe im wrong but if i remember from the CG suspension they test for amphetamines not specifically what type just amphetamines. So whether its cocaine or steroids or adderall they dont really know or atleast they dont say. Maybe there are alot of players taking adderall - but it is also more socially accepted than cocaine or steroids so i might say i was taking adderall too..... Edit: if its a matter of clearing it with the league ( i mean adderall) why would you not do so - i mean how many times are we going to believe that they didnt know adderall was banned? Dozen or so players all failed because of it - because they all forgot? Id be very curious as to how many of them actually failed for some other less acceptable form of amphetamine. Seems like a scapegoat drug to me. Edit two: you need a prescription but also an exemption from the league to use it. How hard can that be? |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
It's scary to think anyone could be worse than Tyler P. Zone blocking lineman should be quick, agile, excellent in space. He is the opposite.
Compton is said to move very well, so maybe he'll make rookie mistakes but have really good plays too. |
Every time we win a big game here comes mara with a suspension....Think he's gonna shit bricks if we win the east?
To play the conspiracy nut: If we get deep in the playoffs, expect to see KS suspended for a game, for conduct detrimental to the game (or some other blatantly vague charge). kidding, but only slightly |

So I don't think it's naïveté at all
Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if Goodell just has a hardon to suspend someone after what Taglibue did. I'm really looking forward to see what Compton can do though. Hopefully this turns into a blessing in disquise. |

After gaining 50 pounds this year, Jordan Black busted for PEDs | ProFootballTalk
Damn, I want some of that. The Montgomery injury is far worse than losing Black, but we can shift Kory Lich over to Center and I say activate and maybe play LeReibus at G. Can't decide if I'd rather have Hurt or try Compton if Polumbus can't recover. |
Re: Jordan Black suspended for PEDs
I'm pretty sure 50 lbs. is off, way off
