Can't say enough about the solid coaching/play-calling today. Kyle never got cute, never tried to do too much. With RG surprisingly hindered with that knee I didn't see a single read-option and the pistol was used sparingly. If there was a league award for most improved coordinator (offense and defense), the Redskins' Kyle Shanahan and Jim Haslett would be finalists.
Go Ravens!!!!
I thought Kyle did get cute a few times....terrible call on the shovel pass on 3-10. |

Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
Unbelievable we are 9-6 with a rookie QB, rookie kicker, rookie RB and questionable secondary. Stars like Orakpo, Fred Davis are out. Key players like AC, Merrieweather out. I cant get over how we've turned this season around. Amazing job.
HTTR! |
Flex game will be us and Dallas

Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
So if NY loses don't we win division today? Best either Dal and NY could then do is tie us and we'd have better division record.

No if Giants lose and cowboys beat us they would win division. |

why? they'd be 9-7. 2-2 against us and NY 3-3 in divison |
Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined. Two Clubs Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs). Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. Strength of victory. Strength of schedule. Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed. Best net points in common games. Best net points in all games. Best net touchdowns in all games. Coin toss Three or More Clubs (Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format). Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs). Coin toss |
Congrats to Forbath for setting a NFL record with 17 straight to start his career!
Team's best acquisition of the season, at least based on what it cost to get him.
|
I'm happy we win next week and we get the division and Cowboys are out.
|
why?
they'd be 9-7. 2-2 against us and NY 3-3 in divison
If cowboys beat us both 9-7 both 4-2 in division, next tiebreaker is common opponents win percentage and cowboys would win that tiebreaker. |

Go Ravens!!!!
I actually thought the play-calling wasn't as good as it has been recently |
Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
why?
they'd be 9-7. 2-2 against us and NY 3-3 in divison
They would be 4-2 in the division. We're ahead of them in all the tiebreakers right now, but they can change that by beating us. EDIT: beaten |
Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
If the giants lose, we just need Minnesota to lose to GB, bears to lose today or next week against the lions then we clinch a spot
|
So if NY loses don't we win division today? Best either Dal and NY could then do is tie us and we'd have better division record.
I'm not sure why...but even if both the Cowboys lose and the Giants lose, the Redskins have to beat the Cowboys next week to win the NFC East and make the playoffs. If the Redskins lose next week, they are out of the playoffs. If the Cowboys beat the Redskins next week, the Cowboys win the NFC East, the Giants are the Wild Card, and the Redskins are out of the playoffs. All or nothing next week for the Redskins! |
Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
No we can still get the WC

Re: Redskins 27 Eagles 20 post game thread
I think there's a couple scenarios where the Redskins can back in with a loss next week, but none where they can win the NFC East.

Forget all that noise. Beat Dallas, win the division, storm into the playoffs on a seven game win-streak. |
