The Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a sculpture carved into the granite face of Mount Rushmore near Keystone, South Dakota, in the United States. Sculpted by Danish-American Gutzon Borglum and his son, Lincoln Borglum, Mount Rushmore features 60-foot (18 m) sculptures of the heads of four United States presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln.[1] The entire memorial covers 1,278.45 acres (5.17 km2)[2] and is 5,725 feet (1,745 m) above sea level.[3]

Nominate your candidates for the Redskins’ Mt. Rushmore | ProFootballTalk

Next month on Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network, we’ll carve out a Mt. Rushmore for each and every NFL team.

Before we can conduct a team-by-team vote on the four figures who’ll appear on each mountain, we need nominees.

So who in your humble opinion is worthy of the Washington Redskins Mount Rushmore?
Because Deion Sanders only played one season for the Redskins, I foresee both Thomas and Rambo playing very long stroried careers for us.
What, what? Neither Thomas or Rambo have played a single down as redskins. Yet you've already determined they are both predestined for "storied careers?" how can you already say they are eligible?

While I would never put him on there as a top four redskin, at least sanders has the credibility of playing in a skins uniform...

Ultimately, it's probably counterproductive to debate with kerrakpo anymore.

Hmmm....all mighty Wikipedia doesn't say anything about a cheesecake being a pie...

But I did hear Alton Brown from the Food Network make the argument that it is a pie.

I just had this thought pop in my head...should there be a Mt. Rushmore of dessert pies and one of savory pies? Otherwise, is there room for a chicken pot pie in the Pie Mt. Rushmore?

To be honest, this isn't a terrible thread topic (it's not original either). But coming just hours after you started perhaps the worst thread in site history (which is saying a lot), followed by another where you listed a bunch of Redskins who haven't even played a snap as your favorite Redskins...it's going to be a while before you're taken seriously. Just slow down a bit. This isn't a race

Such pie snobs on this board... anyways, to the task at hand:

1. Banana Cream
2. Coconut Cream
3. Pumpkin
4. Apple

As for my Mt. Rushmore of redskins:

1. Pocahontas
2. Sitting Bull
3. Sacagawea
4. Indian in the Cupboard

HM: George Lopez

Maybe I should start a thread about changing our teams name... it's so offensive.

As for your question here:

Sammy Baugh
Joe Gibbs
Darrell Green
Kirk Cousins
Jack Kent Cook
George Allen
Joe Gibbs
Sammy Baugh

..................surprised no one has said Sean Taylor yet.

Monk

non-player version-

Marshall (George Preston, not Wilbur)

Maybe chill on the new threads and posts. Take some time to get the feel for the board before you dive in head first. People appreciate that much more than someone who comes in guns blazing right out of the gate.

It's like you just showed up to a party where you didn't know anyone and tried to become the center of the universe.

Re: Washington Redskins Mount Rushmore?

Also, you'll find that people who are optimists about the team are often looked down on. Just check the 2013 schedule thread...people picking us to lose games that we'll win already! People wanted Shanahan fired over even last year when we made the playoffs and lets not forget the dude that wanted to buy bus ads telling Snyder to sell the team.

Debbie Downers everywhere. :D

There's more of a "I told you so" attitude than a "I hope so" one.

Keep cheering for the Skins as hard as you want to, Kerrakpo.

My selections:

1) Edward Bennett Williams who had the money and foresight to give

2) Geroge Allen an unlimited budget which he immediately exceeded but won.

3) Joe Gibbs, "the Coach", who brought the winning attitude back, and

4) Sonny Jurgensen who watched it all.
