Did the Patriots know this about Hernandez and got Tebow to be a TE? Yes, my conspiracy theory was correct.

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)
I would link to this if I could, but I read somewhere that said it was Hernandez's friend that was killed. If that's the case, I don't expect Hernandez to be charged with anything serious. He's probably being uncooperative because he doesn't want to be considered a snitch.

I'm no law expert, but I'm pretty sure you can go to jail for withholding information to police when they know you're a suspect/linked to the case in a major way (ie having a car used in the crime, thats under your name) |

He might get charged with a crime, but that doesn't mean it would ruin his career. I mean if Vick can get charged with killing dogs and spend 2 years in prison and still resume his career when he gets out, I don't see this resulting in anything that would amount to a lifetime ban from the NFL. Even if he did get convicted of obstruction of justice I still don't see the punishment ruining his career. Only way I see this ruining his career is if he actually did the deed, or assisted in some way that would make his prison sentence 10+ years. That's the point I was trying to get at without spending too much time on the subject. |

Oh, I agree. Frankly, he can be charged, convicted and reviled by the general populace as worthless scum, but, as long as (1) he is not in jail, and (2) he can ball, his NFL career will be fine. |

WFXT-TV in Boston reported late Wednesday that Hernandez is "directly tied to the homicide," which is why authorities executed a search warrant on his house. According to WFXT-TV, Hernandez was seen at a bar in Boston with three other men on the night of the Lloyd's death. At some point, the four men left the bar, but only three made it back to Hernandez's residence. Officials are sure that Lloyd left the bar with Hernandez because of a text they found in Lloyd's phone. Oh boy, not looking good. Cant wait to see how Darth Hoody trys to spin this...or watch him painfully beat back the press refusing to answer questions. |

College Quarterbacks get converted to wide receiver and tight end positions all the time in the NFL. I don't see how Tebow couldn't make the conversion. I think he's still a heck of a football player, just not that GREAT of a quarterback. |

Most of the time they make that conversion before they get to the NFL, they don't wait 3-4 years and then try to make that switch, after being so adament that they are a QB. Also, not that great of a QB is a huge understatement. To me for Tebow it is FB or nothing. Nothing to me has shown that he can run routes or catch passes. Michael Robinson became a FB after being a QB in college. To me he is a FB. I will also reserve judgement on the "heck of a football player" statement. To me he isn't that either. |

FWIW According to a "Legal analyst" at NFL.com, when you strip away the CopSpeak and double talk, Hernandez is THE suspect......
It may serve to reopen the shooting case in Fl as well/ Well Tim.....it's your time |
Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Version 5150)
Could this be the year NE falters?
Without Welker. Possibly without Gronk and Hernandez, Brady will have a whole new cast around him. Their D has not been their strength the last few years and if their Offense is unsettled, maybe, just maybe they will be a sub-10 win team for the first time since 2003. Granted, 2 games each against the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins is not the roughest division schedule, but their other games include the NFC South, AFC North, and the Texans and Broncos. |

Tim Tebow is their emergency TE. :D I don't expect Gronk to play this year. Between his horrible arm complications and back surgeries...he's a wreck. Hernandez' situation is just sad and crazy. Do they still have Visante Shiancoe?
I love this!
Ebonics rule! Jags staying in Jacksonville I guess. New $27 million scoreboard coming and $60 million total in stadium renovations. I've been saying it...Los Angeles will get the Chargers and with the new raw sewage story in Oakland, maybe the Raiders TOO. |

Sure it happens when they're right coming out of college. Tebow is 3 years in, all at QB. Plus, he's not the athlete that Hernandez or Gronkowski is. He should've tried to be a fullback, where he could just slam into people and catch a pass here and there. |

If they were in another division that would be correct. I do not see them only beating the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins only once. None of those teams have a good enough quarterback to beat the Patriots 2 times each. I think the Pats will end up 11-5 or 10-6. This is all of course if Tom Brady stays healthy. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are two quarterbacks who pretty much guarantee you 10 or 11 wins every year. |
