Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Well the league leader is rushing before Shady McCoy went off on our Skins Monday night was Terrell Pryor, a QB from the Raiders no less. RBs didnt do much for yardage in Week 1. Some scored, which was great for your fantasy team, but not many with yardage. It has really become a passing league. 300-400 yards per week with 3 TD passes is going to be the norm. Running is almost a novelty. The Packers pass almost every down. Our Redskins better be ready.
yeah most decent QBs will put up good numbers now, its about the 4th QTR that matters, Like Matt Stafford in the 4th? I'll pass on him |

Freeman not taking the right approach, just gonna make that situation worse. |

Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Freeman has always struck me as Campbell 2.0. Flashes of "Very Good" with moments of "Very Bad" and loonnngggg stretches of mediocrity. Don't think he is there QB next year at this rate.
He will bounce around the league as a back-up/starter for another 6-8 years (likely to be joined by Sanchez) occasionally starting but mostly being "the great back-up" for someone else. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Next year Freeman needs a "start over" somewhere like Arizona where he can sit a year or 2 and watch and learn from a Vet like Palmer. I wouldnt close the book on Freeman, but he needs some maturity. The question is would Minny, Tennesse give him another shot right away? probably; which really wouldnt help either side, the team or Freeman.

If the Jets only played defense, they would have a better chance at beating the Patriots.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Refs robbed Jets so far.

Edelman fumbled. The other calls were correct in my opinion. |

One thing Rex can still do is coach defense. |

I feel bad for the Jets defense. A lot of good players that are being constantly being put in a bad position... Sounds like a certain team in washington this past Monday Night. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Did that this morning. I figure at least 12 targets to Edelman tomorrow night. I'm actually going "All in" with the Patriots tomorrow night at home. My fantasy team will start Edelman, Brady and Ridley. I expect a bounceback from Ridley.
Wow...you lost. I sat Brady for Jay Cutler. |
This game is ugly. Nfln never gets any good games it seems like. Hell the jets may win lol
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Belichick and Brady are so arrogant that they think they can win with rookie WR's. Their offense without Amendola, Gronk and Vereen looks pedestrian.
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Everybody not named Edelman should be fired at the WR spot. Outside of him, nobody can catch the ball tonight for the Jets or Patriots.
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Possibly one of the worst performances ever by a group of a receivers. This is why having good receivers is so important for a quarterbacks stats, or for just winning games.

front office of the Pats should be fired as well. you cant depend on no names WR and then go out and give 35 million to a "no 1" whose been injuried in 60%of his games. Aside from that, Jets defense looks damn better after losing Revis. They are stout against the run. |

I'm not sure why they even signed Amendola. He's already hurt and now it's blowing up in their faces. Should've given Welker the money and kept Brandon Lloyd. |

Maybe because their teams are always on short rest. Jets D looking good this season. Pats are getting lucky. I knew they would be weaker than usual but barely beating the Bills and Jets isn't looking good for them. Of course, they're still 2-0. At least Ridley stopped fumbling. Rex doesn't look right as a skinny man. Glad he's lost the weight for his health but it just looks odd. Andy Reid would look strange too, we're just used to them being fat. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
The Patriots are an ugly 2-0. They're going to be in trouble when they go up against some real competition.
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
I just point and laugh watching Brady get mad. Seriously looks like a spoiled brat out there on the field and especially the sideline. Looks like a little bitch with that temper
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Definitely but they'll still win that division, maybe with a little pressure from Miami who could be around 8-8, 9-7 maybe thanks to 4 games with the Bills and Jets. Gronk coming back will be a huge boost though.

First two games of the season and divisional opponents. I wouldn't be too concerned if I was a Patriots fan. Remember last year they started 1-2. A lot of things tend to change within 17 weeks. Last year Denver started 2-3 as well and got dominated by Atlanta/Houston, they ended 13-3. I honestly get more concerned for teams that start out hot because they tend to sizzle out at the worst times of the years, (Philly, Houston, Arizona, and Chicago). |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
Brady is turning into Jay Cutler with the way he's pouting and stomping around. He really needs to reel in his emotions a bit and understand what he's working with... not much.

Their season basically depends on Gronk/Amendola coming back. Those are huge ifs though with both being made of glass. If one comes back they will be in playoff contention. If both come back at the end of the year they will be in super bowl contention. Also those receivers they have no just started their first two games. The team will look very different after 17 weeks of football. |
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
no chance the pats beat denver in the playoffs
|
Re: Around the NFL...Week 2 Style!
New England will be a playoff team only because they are in such a terrible division. They have no receivers, no running game, and their defense is meh. A lot of people will say, Belichick/Brady will pull it off, but I don't understand why as a team they've put themselves in that position. It seems that for the past five years they always have multiple first/second round picks or are involved in ridiculously one-sided trades that benefits them. Yet, they've never invested on top talent either through the draft or through free agency.
Unless something drastically happens, I just don't see them beating teams like Denver, Houston, Baltimore, even Indy. |

I don't see them going far this year at all. Maybe they win the divison with 9 or 10 wins and get bounced in the first round. |
