Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
Like jamf said, Morris isn't a back you give the ball to 13 times a game. You have to pound the defense with him all game long, and you have to keep feeding him even when he's not getting 4-5 yards per carry. He'll wear the defense out and keep the chains moving, but only if you plan on sticking with him to the end. Gruden is too impatient. He sees Morris only getting 1-2 yards per carry early in the game, so he abandons him right away for the faster and more versatile Helu. Helu will get you those big plays every now and again, but Morris is much, much more effective if used correctly.
But I'm beginning to think Morris will never be the same with Gruden. Shanahan leaves, and suddenly Morris is "too slow", the line can't open holes, the running game gets abandoned, etc. Morris has the talent, but unless Gruden suddenly has an epiphany of sorts, he may never be used correctly. The hope I hang onto is that Griffin's presence really does help open up the running game. |
...and add on to the fact that Alfmo isn't performing like he used to. Helu has actually performed much better when given the opportunities.
Morris had thirteen measly carries last game. Gruden doesn't know who butters his bread. That's the problem. |
Im basing my opinion on head to head against the Jags. We would beat the Jags 16 times if we played them every week. We are bad but not as bad. (As the Titans).
You are kidding yourself. We've lost 13 of the last 14 games we've played. Do you know what that makes us? Losers! We also have a choking dog playing QB right now. Please try to come up with a better reason why we should be expected to beat any team at this point. (It's not like I'm disillusioned or anything like that.) |

The difference is that Gibbs learned to use Riggins after five games. Also, JKK was so pissed off about being 0-5 that he was threatening to fire Gibbs if things didn't turn around immediately. Snyder should tell Allen to stay out of Gruden's way and then tell Gruden to do whatever he needs to do to turn things around but he'd better start winning some games soon, or else. |

Aye, all hail TDJ.
I think our team will be too distracted and awed by his hair and lose.
LMAO. I can't believe someone actually took that picture.
I figured you'd be psyched to see him play. Maybe Locker will heal slowly.
Indeed. Originally I had Tanya Harding on standby but given Locker's injury history I figured a half decent oscillating fan would be more than enough. |
Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
I expect Cousins will be intercepted 3-7 times, toss in another 1-3 Fumbles during the game by various players and maybe some atrocious plays by our special teams
Titans 27 Redskins 14 |

Does the fact that we just beat the jags 41-10 and completely dominated in every aspect back that up. The titans pulled a win outta their asses against the jags. I still say we will beat them handily from start to finish. I will also say that i could care less that we are better than either of them (or should i say less of a loser). |

Titans 27 Redskins 14
Don't forget the defense stinking the place up, as usual. Or is that accounted for with the Titans scoring 27? Based on the last four games, our D giving up 27 points might be optimistic. But the Titans are a bad team like we are. |

And penalties! Don't forget about the penalties. Oh! and don't forgot about dropped passes on third down and abandoning the running game and poor play-calling and the revolving door at RT and gold pants. When it comes to sucking, we are a complete team. This game figures to be so bad that the announcers will be Gilbert Gottfried and a mime. Sideline reporter: Courtney Love. |

(It makes more sense than capgate.) Wow, we have lost 13 of the last 14? Starting last season, which wasnt all Shannys fault (why cant griffin run the system that got him 2012 ROY?), till now, this franchise really is a dumpster fire. Thanks, Snyder! |

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
So much doom and gloom on this board. You'd think we were 1-5.
Defense gets the turnovers for which it is overdue, Skins win 27-17. |

Re: Titans vs. Skins Pregame Thread
As a long time Redskins fan it's so hard to see this franchise continue to lose game after game. If you really think about why we are not a very good team here is my view.
1. The RG3 trade cost us a great deal over the last 3 seasons. Not getting a number 1 pick for 2 straight seasons hurts when your team is not very good. The 36 million salary cap penalty hurt us to sign depth on the roster. 2.The last 2 seasons we have not found a better RT to replace Tyler Polumbus. Tom Compton, who was drafted by Shanahan is just a backup. Moses is only a rookie but he also can't take the job from Polumbus. 3.We replace a Head Coach every 3 years which means we are losing. We must find our guy and believe he can turn the franchise around or don't hire him. We have to stay the course with our coach and let him develop and teach his system to his players which can take time. We must learn to be patient as Redskin fans. Look I'm a diehard Redskins fan who grew up in the DC/Maryland area in the mid 70's . I moved in 1979 and still support my team ever since. Its in my blood to be a Redskins fan. I even think maybe because we haven't changed the name we are cursed. I don't care about the name as much as I would rather see this team win. Am I the only one to notice over the last 5 years or so that we get hosed on the booth review calls? How do we get screwed every time when its a close call it never goes our away. This is starting to really smell of collusion of the league not wanting to see this franchise succeed and get headlines, which would result in the teams name debate. Something has to change because this is starting to get awful painful to keep seeing this team play so terrible. Then to see these BS calls go against our team which needs any break it can get. As Redskin fans lets stay strong and support our team because we are Redskins Nation the best fans in the NFL. Redskins 30-14 Titans HTTR |
